No worries mate always a pleasure. I'm gonna have a bit more work next week end, I'm taking care of Ian's (race director) car. Should make up for the extra time between heats so i won't get too bored!

I use 64p. The main reason is that going up/down one tooth isn't as much of a difference, so better to find the sweet spot. Before the MRE with the higher centre shaft, I had a set of 100 --> 106 spurs, and pinions from 27 to 45. Now with the MRE height I can go up to 112T so I have 110, 111 and 112T spurs. I prefer the bigger spurs for the same reason I prefer 64dp over 48dp...
cells, if you're only going club racing and your club allows lipo, then i'd buy the 3800 Lipo from Orion/Peak. It fits the car a lot better than the 4200 and you can buy just one and top it up between races, rather than buying 3+ packs of NiMH...
However these won't be allowed at any official meeting (indoors series or BRCA/BTCC/STCC/TORC), so if you plan on racing outside your club, then you'll have to go for NiMH. Then there's the choice of cells. If you want a good preforming cell that is also very strong and will take abuse, then the GP3700 is the cell to go for. Forget the GP4300 no one uses it.
For the best performance the IB4200 is the cell of choice, BUT it's very sensitive to maintenance and won't last as long. It's not unusual to have a cell dying in a pack after a few runs, I just had one going burst after sitting unused for 4 weeks while I was away at X-Mas.
In the end it depends on what you want, but my suggestion is that unless you will be able to race a perfect line all the time, without crashing, then there is no point in going for the IBs. As soon as you crashed, you lost all the advantage the IB gave you...

Does anyone know what servo saver Mark reinhard user's. Also does anyone please have a setup sheet of marks car that he won the title with , that the MRE model was inspired off. My friend has a MRE and want's to set it up for carpet the same set up as Mark Reinhards car to put on the shelf as a display car.
Any help would be great.

And he doesn't use the MRE for carpet. Also he didn't win a title with the MRE, only the MS.

Not sure what he ran this year, but at the recent DHI Cup (Rubber/Carpet), it looks like he ran an original 415 again... had the std suspension on the car.

To be honest.. I'm just getting depressed with racing at the moment. Driving like a numpty, and can't seem to get any luck when I do drive ok. Been like it for a few events now, and it's just bloody hard to get any motivation. Simply just not enjoying it.
Evo5 was fine though, first time I've hardly touched it all day. Just a small changes to the front roll centre (which I actually changed back later in the day) was all I did. It was bloody fast down the straight too. Ended up spending most of my time between rounds sorting out a XXX I recently brought.
I haven't got a clue what class or car I'm going to run this weekend at the two day... and I really can't be bothered to think about it the moment, which says something.
Anyway, in answer to your question, yup thoose swing shafts will be fine... your right, you'll probably have to be careful if they bend, but they should suit a narrowed down front end with the short arms best.
