Switch pullys!

Can anybody give me a parts list of everything I will need to convert my MSX pullys to the white delrin TA05 pullys, including the center pully. Or do I have to wait for Tamiya to start selling spare parts for the MRE?
Thanks in advance!

Thats an easy one. Your looking for just the pulleys. If your looking for the MRE centre, i think youd be better off waiting for the MRE all in one alloy centre setup. Very light weight and looks awesome. Just a quick look between my MSX and MRE and looks like it should be a direct swap. You can get the TA05 centre setup if you need it now tho. I dont think Tamiya has released the centre alloy mount as a hopup yet. I know they have both the one way and the ball diff MRE pulleys (which are different to the TA05 pulleys) I love the dirt cover on the MRE diff pulley too!

for the MRE part#'s check the pdf Harshguy posted a few pages back..

You can run the MRE center shaft and pulleys and front and rear pulleys on the MSX ..I ran them fine on mine with the stock white belts..It def works better than the conversion center from the ta-05 we used to run...

The Rear diff pulley has a lip on it that is very close to the outdrives, effectively covering the diff plates and balls. Also it use 9 3mm balls verus the 8 of the 05 or MSX...

Champ has parts for the MRE in stock already.

I didnt even notice it took 9! i was rushed putting it together so i assumed i must have lost one as they always come in a pack of 10! Good to know. Well new order of MRE pulleys, new suspension parts etc, should have enough spares to last the winter for the MSX and MRE. Felt weird building the MRE with old std suspension...... looked so much nicer with the new LWS on it, but itll be running carpet Looking forward to really identifying the handling differences between the MRE and MSX

Ed, are you sure that the alloy bearing holders for the centre will work on an MSX? I think you will need the new centre top plate, as it isnt flat, it takes the new bearing holders. I was going to look into these parts also when the MRE has been around a little longer, so i can update my MSX a little.

Quite correct... apologies.
IF you don't want to get the new top deck, you just need to reverse the position of the other current bearing holders, making the bearings face inwards.

TryHard,

Is it true the new belts for the MRE are one tooth longer than the MSX. Plus, I heard the teeth on the pully are a new design.
Again,
Thanks

I was just thinking the same thing! I bought the front diff outdrive kit, but it doesn't come with the pully. I haven't bought the pullys yet but I would imagine so!
