Let me tell you, i just started running a Mamba 6800 with 6cell GP1100 or 2Cell Lipo packs and I have zero cogging. only when the batteries are real low. I use the Dean's Ultra plugs and I think that really helps. We run on carpet indoors with lots of traction and I've had no motor problems. Keep traction rolling like a beast though, too fast, gotta slow down.

There a number of factors which affect run time but to even generally provide an estimate we would at least need to know what motor you are intending to run.

Well I did not buy the M18 yet. I'm looking for a good used setup. Not brushless, just a Novak Spy ESC with a decent motor.

Let's say 1100 mah pack with Spy esc and a stock motor. What would that give me as run time a beginner racer in this class?

We race 6 minute quals & 8 minute mains. Normal run time is WAY more than that. i run a 1320 LiPo with a mamba 8000 & get at least 20 minutes of run time. Varies a lot with different track sizes & gearing.

So I guess with a stock motor and a Spy esc I should get 20 minutes ?

Should run a lot longer than 20 minutes with decent batteries. Should be around 40 minutes or longer.
