jeramy the d-1 is smoother and easier to set up and not as aggresive !

the d-2 speed wise is a bit faster at the cost of being twitchier and more finekie to drive. I drive the d-2 on asphalt.

If you can set the car up by your self or have someones help get the d-2 if you dont get the d-1 its more forgiving!

get the d-1 jeremy its better for you at this statge.

ask toni she has a d-1 then go ask art jenson and see what he tells you!

I still recomend the d-1.

But I prefer the d-2

I've used the blades and they do work well. The only time I had a problem with them was when I used them with a spool

dotman all the pin cushins and blades, or roll pins in the world cant handle a spool.
with the fact the cars are drive shaft the impact doesnt have any where to go ( energy absorption) thats why I have a steel outdrive diff cranked for use on the tracks were it gets rough. it helps but still.

funny though I also have a warpspeed MI2 with a spool and I can hit something without fear because the belt take the impact energy. but at price in acceleration
responsivness.

That's why I mentioned the Niftech Swivels. They handle the spool great. The only time I had a problem with one was in a full speed head on collision. The pin that connects the swivels broke. The blades wore more and popped off sometimes in minor collisions

Definitely, in my opinion, the D2 is the car to have. My race results have improved dramatically since I converted to the D2 kit.

Jeremy, Lynn Toni and myself all have D1's, I'm sure either Hector or Art would let you try a D2 version at one of the state races. We are real happy with the D1 and have no plans to switch over to the D2. Art and Hector are fast with whatever they drive, but they do love the Demon 2.
