Got my Demon1 sorted out after the fiasco of last weekend. It chatters a touch in the front now when running an 8x1, but is totally planted and smooth with the 19t. Whew!!! Glad that fiasco is over.

I worked myself down from a 19t to a 10x2 Ti to the 8x1 V2. Didnt break anything so thats good. The 8x1 Vantage V2 is one fast motor. I dont know how to gear mods so I got it really HOT IT was untouchable for 3 minutes after the run. but i only ran it 26/100 with 2.28" tires. I also worked on starting with some drag brake then dialed it all out after a few minutes.

Is that gear too high (0.72"rollout) for an 8x1??? HELP!!

Isn't that what Blackstock ran at the champs?

JOhn,

I found the rollout that Spashett ran at the Champs with a 7-turn V2 and its higher than what I ran with the 8-turn-so my guess now is that I am just too heavy on the throttle for such a low wind Modified. I am going to cut the comm-turn down the timing a tad and just keep trying to drive smoother and smooother on the throttle. I try to rollout of the throttle, but I guess I am just flat hammereing it back down. OOOps!!

I'll check Blackstocks mod set-up from the Champs-thanks for the great idea!!

Not that I would know of course. I'm afraid to break parts so no mod for me
Here's the setup if you don't have it handy

Ray, I looked for you at Trackside Wensday evening, and never found you. three of us left school (Harley U ) and went out to the race track. What a great facility!!! I did find a white van with Ohio plates and all of your sponsors names on it as we left in the hotel van figured it might be yours??? See ya at the Birds!!!!

TOny-I wasnt there!! I bet that van was the Parma PSE van.

I ran the clubb ra e where we again had 70+ entries. I ran stock and 19turn sedan. I was like 6th or 7th in both A's. I am still have stupid mechaincal issues. This time the set-screw in the front CVD loosened up once and then in the Mains fell out.

I just hope I am getting all of this mechanical woes out of the way before the Snowbirds!!

ON another bright note!! My other Demon I let a driver borrow TQ'd Stock class and was second in 19t!!!! He finished second in stock A-Main and DNF'd in 19 when he hit a stopped car in the sweeper.

SO a good day for Warpspeed Demons today. The B-main also had two Demons in it.

Default race report

Race report for sunday 01/11/04

I must say The day went well got into the A main with both 19t and pro stock. the D1 perforemed well in the A main prostock class. but had a little push on power but was still very drivable. I qualified last and made my way to third and the the r/c god said NOPE aint gonna happen and put a gotcha board in my way and ripped off the left front arm off the car ( uuuuuuuggggggghhhhh!!!!!) with 20 seconds to go on the clock

19t I ran the blue d2 I must say the car was STUCK I changed the set up in it and got rid of the nitro rack. man the car is so sweet now it is better then the D1 now. Back to racing I qualified 6th in the A main and just jumped again into 3rd at the first corner at about half track on the first lap the car started to shack and spin out, I thought what the heck did I have a tire blow out ??? then the car just stopped
well as it turned out I had a brain fart and did not tighten down the battery brace ( oh my head I feel so novice )

But even tho I had two DNF's I still managed to get the demons into the mains and thats what its all about. oh ya winning is nice to
