Searching Nexes racing, I came up with two options, part number: "305277" and part number:"305327" which ones do I need? and do I just need them for the front to solve this problem.A guy at the track had this same problem with his T-3 and he replaced them with the ecs parts.I saw him go full throttle while turning right and left and it was as smooth as glass, but I did not notice if he had them on the rear.I saw them on the front though.
Part number 305327 has the 52mm drive shaft.

305325 is the ecs with the 50mm drive shaft.

305227 is just the drive shaft for the ecs and not the complete set.

Thus, best to choose either 305327 or 305325. based on my experience alone, the shorter the drive shaft, the steering gets more aggressive or responds faster. however, the longer drive shaft is more stable.

Can you run the Spec R gear diff in the t2 009?

http://www.egrracing.com/shop/gear-d...8t-p-3825.html

it says it fits the T3 but doesn't mention the t2 009.

And also if you can use the 38t gear diff, can you run it with the 20t standard centre pulley if you change the rear belt??

Thanks in advance

pretty sure it will fit but it might knock the gear ratio around as it is bigger than the standard 34t ball diff pulley so you may have to put a 38t spool in front and 16t pulley and no you wouldnt be able to run the 20t pulley with the 38's as the belts wont reach or be hell tight on the loosest setting.

Thought so. For the cost of it, it wouldnt be worth it I dont think because like you said you would have to go to a 16t centre pulley, and 38t spool, and 2 new belts to fit.

Thanks

In the 009 rubber spec manual it states to insert two shims on the front and rear of the hinge pins, when installing the a-arms.
There is no room on my car to install these shims.
In fact I had to file a little on both ends of the arms so they would not bind on the hinge pins.I do have the X-H arms on this car.
Is this normal.?Are the washers part of the wheelbase adj.?

thanks

The washers/shims are part of the wheelbase adjustment. Filing down the arms is NOT normal. Take pictures, poste em up.

I forgot to mention this is on the front a-arms on the car..

On the rear a-arms there is plenty of room for the shims..

I bought this car used here on rctech recently.I kinda got ripped.Every bearing in the car was shot.It was advertised as an all rubber spec car.It has a lot of foam spec parts on it.The chassis plate and top plate are about the only thing rubber spec. on the car .It has 50mm driveshafts front and rear.It has tamiya shocks on it, which is ok.
I would really like to send this car to someone who knows X-ray tc cars inside and out, just to see what I have got.The a-rms on the front have me confused. If I install them without the shims they will not move they are so tight.I did file them a bit to free them up.

thanks jimmy

Thumbs up SPEC-R Gear Diff for T2009

Hi Guys

Ive done some research into this and found one for the T2009, it's available through an ebay seller via this link http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Spec-R-Gear-D...item3a5b2c7348

The only modification you need to make is to use 50mm cvd's/ecs drive shafts in the rear instead of the standard 52mm.

If you want run the 38t T3 gear diff you need to run the 50mm shafts in the rear still and also upgrade the front spool to a 38t.

Hopefully Ive covered it all here.

Cheers
Adrian

Well on a 08 but it's the same thing.... I'm running the 1.9 pulleys if that makes a difference.

Yeah the sway bar is right... are the plastic holders on the rear different from the front?

No, and they aren't anywhere CLOSE to rubbing on the diff covers... the only thing I can think of is if you werent a strange pully or something.. take a pic and show us.
