The Futaba 9551 or KO 2413 seem to be popular. They are both low profile.

Why in the world are you running that stiff of a spring with rubber tires? When I talked with Pauly he said a stiff spring can make traction rolls worse. I would think you would want to go down to nothing higher than a 20 on the front and around a 15 on the rear.

Does the car traction roll right away or does it roll after awhile?

35 LB front springs
I dont think we ever went over 17.5 lb fronts at the Novak and thats a high traction race

RC8 here (old account)

Just thought I needed to try something cause nothing else was working, it seemed to help a bit.

Gonna try wider front track next.

It's hard to tell where exactly it's traction rolling, I think it is mid corner.

Would too much rear toe cause this problem?

Oh, does anybody know what the "c" rated springs are for lbs/in?

This is a very good set-up on high grip. This pretty much my starting set-up everywhere I go.

Hmmm...so which is it, I don't have the Xray bible in front of me. I would think stiffer spring would produce less body roll, isn't that what you would want if you are traction rolling?

Thanks for the spring chart, nice.

A stiffer spring will not the let the car roll/lean. Once your tires grip the car has no place to go but on its lid. A softer spring will allow the car to roll as the tire grips.

i have a problem. ive been trying to get my rear end softer and for some reason i just can't get it done. ive tried softer springs and thinner shock oil. I thought i may have binding in the suspension and i didn't.I'm using the standard plastic shocks w/3 hole pistons, yellow springs. mounted in the third hole from the top on the shock tower.any help is greatly appreciated

If it traction rolls early, you're too stiff. If it traction rolls late, you're to soft. If you pull the throttle and it just flips over, you're... screwed

For early just go softer spring, for late roll try a heavier bar first, then spring. If you're on foam glue the outside edges, if you're on rubber, stop putting compound on the outside fronts. If you roll mid turn... well... I usually get the rear to slide a bit more... but thats me.

WHat makes you think it isn't already getting softer?
What are you trying to achieve?

Well, things are looking up. I glued the sidewalls of my tires, widened the track front and rear about 1mm/side and I am now using the Xray front brace. It bolts to the front of the chassis to stiffen it up I think.

Still turning a few 11.0s, we will see what happens tomorrow if and when traction comes up.
