I got the new RideGR which are obligatory to use at our race.
Saucing is not allowed, just heating, so that's why I'm looking for any suspension setup options.

Softer springs are definitely worth a try!
I might also try the different ackerman setting as it's easy to change.
Third thing for my to try would be changing caster form 3 to 6°.

Will keep you updated!
Next race will be on 14th - bit I'll have very little oportunities for testing because of the wearher right now and we just race 2 finals without qualifying, just 1h of practice early in the morning, when the track is still cold ...
So here is my update on the race last sunday:
I prepared the car changing (compared to my first race with a lot of understeer)
- caster 6° (coming from 3°)
- moved the additional weight of 35g (race ready 1052g) approx 4cm more forward as close as possible to the servo
(front springs allready were softest I have - Tamiya silver)
I felt comfortable with the car during free practice so I didn't change anything else. Car was less understeering than before but still the rear was very planted.
Scored 3rd (7 entrants) twice, but actually missed second place or even better in the second race due to many failures by myself.
So acctually I'm quite happy with the car as a solid basis and should work on my driving and concentration.
If I might get the opportunity of testing I might try less ackemann or harder side springs.

Is there a chance that the front springs are too soft and getting coil-bound? If not, maybe reduce rear traction a bit to get more steering? Maybe raise the rear ride height (change axle insert), stiffer rear spring, etc.

I don't have any experience with the 25.5 in F1 besides speed runs down my street, but they guys at my track think that its was a great call, eventually. More punch in the infield and not a lot of difference on the straight. I don't know they may be just trying to get me healthy and back on track faster.

Motiv mc-2 25.5 I run was keeping up with the 21.5 USGT cars at least on the straights in uncontrolled practice. This being a F6. They had better corner speed though since all wheel drive is cheating. Lol

Join our FB page "Houston Onroad". We have bi-weekly club races (nitro & electric), and we're bringing F1 back. My car is up and running as of this past weekend. Everyone else is getting ready as well.

I will, unless I'm already on there. I have 2 cars ready to go and a 3rd waiting on motor and servo.

Request sent!!! Thanks

So you think the understeer in a highspeed corner might be the result of a a soft front spring getting coil-bound?
Never looked at it that way.
Thanks for that idea!! - definitly will try a harder spring in front to see the result!

Most of the new 25.5t motors get over 2200kv on the analyzer at 5amps or so... If you add the reduced minimum weight and reduced drivetrain weight of 2wd , then the usgt cars should be left in the dust....

hahaha! I think I will stop for a bit, those bodies took a lot of time. But maybe down the road I'll do a Jaguar kit or Gil de Ferran's Valvoline CART livery.

I don't care too much for the new liveries after the cigarette ban. But I have a Lotus and Williams Camel in mind soon. And no I don't even smoke.
