That's church yo!

Still lovin me some 71 rears and Kit fronts 99.9% of the time.
.1% is a secret
A few of us have tried the R1's. On asphalt they are nice for about 5minutes, correction 3 minutes and then they are just loose after broken in compared to Shimizus. The R1 inserts are way too firm and the factory glue job was terribly wobbly on all 3 sets I tested... Maybe on carpet they are better?

I'm a .1% too

I'm feeling sheepish here for daring to raise this, but aren't the rears '72 & '75, while the fronts are either '71 & '73? Have I missed a release?

Phil.
I was gonna say the same, I thought the rears were 572 or 575 and fronts are 571 and 573

http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=1988

As for tire recommendation for F1 on Asphalt track, right now in ~15-20 degree C ambient temperature for my Exotek F1R3, Im using 573 fronts and 572 rears and the car have a lot of front end grip. I even had to turn down the dual rate to settle down the car as it was really twitchy to drive at 100% Ive tried 571 fronts and I feel it gives way too much grip at the moment.

Some locals experimented with R3 compound and they really liked how they performed. They are running 577 fronts and 579 rears if I remember correctly. Im not sure if its the nature of the tire or their driving style, but the wore through a set of 577 really fast.

They also tried 567 FGX Front tires which they man handled onto some F104 wheels. Its totally not conventional and it stretches the tires so much it had the same width as the rear tires, but I gave it a go and surprisingly it handled really well on the track on my car.

Ive tried the Ride F1 tires and the XR tires and a lot of people complained the XR wheels are very fragile and would shatter and break in the slightest of crashes. The grip for both set of tires werent exceptional as well in 15-20 degree temps. They would probably work much better in hotter temps in the summer.

I recently bought the new WRC F1 kit and it came with a set of tires, I tried that on both my Exotek and the WRC F1 and it didnt really hook up as well as the Pit Shumizu nor Rides. Maybe I didnt give them enough time to break in or they more suitable in hotter weather like the Rides. I guess ill pull them out again in the summer and see how that goes.

I have a set of Tamiya summer soft fronts and hard rears I havent tried and would be putting those through their paces this weekend.

It's strange how different yours and HeliYogi's blues turned out. I know there is a chance that each batch can be slightly different but to compare both your bodies, its like chalk and cheese.

I think I'll buy a bunch of different blues and test spray till I find the blue I want.

Jpx, those decals look like great quality. The ones I'm getting with the shell are a bit annoying as some have blue backgrounds (Renault and elf), so I'll look into the ones you bought. Thanks for the link by the way

Brilliant Blue I believe is used for the Calsonic cars, so too light for the Rothmans. I'm searching for the correct blue for that as well, before I throw some paint down.

Also just finished a rally Impreza so I've got a ton of shades of blue and metallic blue for both polycarbonate and styrene.

Curious, which one will be your choice!
