Okay a new guy here. Just come across this site and link after looking for Lotus 79 JPS decals and finding that superb example by shadow.

Does anyone know how I can get hold of a set of the JPS decals? The only source I knew that sold that have been made to stop by Tamiya.

Hope someone out there can help.

Just found this thread and I haven't had a chance to read the whole thing yet. In a nutshell which chassis should I be looking at?

What motors are allot of ppl running in their F1 cars?

I run a 17.5 in blinky mode... but I am having issues with my 17.5s as I have broken a number of sensor boards in the motor on different motors maybe because of the vibrations going through the motors not sure if direct drive would cause this... Was thinking of changing back to a brushed 27t or sports tuned... to stop me stuffing up brushless motors and driving with a brushed motor seems easier to handle in a F1.. what do others think? plus I would think it would help with handling with only two wires going to the motor??

Wayne, my Losi 17.5 has been rock solid in my car, but it's almost too powerful with boost turned on, so I tend to dial it back a bit. Because it's not enormously taxed, I'm using quite flexible wiring to avoid interfering with the rear pod movement.

Can't imagine the direct drive is an issue, since 12th scale uses the same basic layout for the motor.

Might think about putting one of my 21.5's in there...

btw - sorry about that helmet, my daughter painted that one. she liked the "blue car" the most. (she doesn't know it has found a new home)
Nice to hear from both POs! The Ferrari now has a 3R dual plane CF chassis (like the FW24). No worries on the driver's lid, it adds character.

i will be picking up my f104 soon i know most f1 classes run the silver can motor that comes with the kit. I was wondering if there were any other spec motors for f1 classes and what would be the most powerful motor you would put in a f1 car before it gets outta hand to have fun with? thanks

The 21.5 brushless is the motor of choice for our Ultimate F1 series.
Strong and doesn't fade during a race.
Not sure what the limit would be for an F104 but for as poorly as they handle (you know what I mean, comparatively speaking ) I would think that it would have a hard time handling all of a 13.5 unless the conditions were near perfect like foams on carpet?
F103 on the other hand, motor up and sauce them foam fatties!
