The 5200 packs are smokin fast in my E-Revo with a MMM/Tekno Neu setup. The only issue I have with the packs is that the cases aren't glued very well...one of the packs could be easily opened up right out of the package...I had to super glue the case back together.

Well, I've got 2 practice nights and 1 race night under the belt of my 5200 24c SMC pack so far, and I am in love with it. This is my first lipo so I don't have much to compare it to, but even the local racers are very impressed by it and have stated they think it's one of the best values in lipo out there right now.

As an on road touring basher/club racer, this battery gets a big thumbs up from me.

Thanks for the info. Our goal with the 24C packs was to offer the budget minded racer and RC player the chance to have a high performance pack at a lower price.

I think you have done an excellent job at that.

The surprising part is I have never used more than 1600mAh of the pack before losing focus and getting off the drivers stand! My new 17.5 brushless system is much more efficient than I was expecting. Even during our 6 minute heats I was only using 1400-1500mAh.

BL and Lipo equals to more track time as the effiency of both is much better than brushed and sub-c cells.

I run for a half an hour in offroad with a 5000 and a 7.5 motor.

I ran my 5200's in 13.5 buggy this weekend. Heated them to 125 before each run. Had plenty of punch and run time. I was only putting about 1000mah back in them after each run. Very impressed. These are far from budgets packs. They out perform most places race packs.

I just got a Duratrax ICE for Christmas for charging my 5200 24c (been bumming charges at the track).

Can someone recommend a charging profile setup for my ICE for the 5200 pack? This is my first foray into Lipo charging!

I'm not familiar with this charger but it should be like other Lipo modes. You set it for 2 cell Lipo mode and use 5 amps up to 10 amps as the charge rate.

The ICE only charges at 1c but I can enter up to an 8000mah battery. Should I just enter 8000mah with a 100% charge limit? i.e. it will just charge at 8amps.

Yes that should work if you want to charge faster.

As I understand it the amperage doesn't matter much as far as punch or battery longevity on lipos, correct? That's why we can charge at 2c with no ill effects?

Thank you for your knowledge Danny.

Many are using 2C on our packs with good results. I don't have actual data to show if it hurts the cycle life as some claim. Allot of the info on Lipos come from the flight guys which have been using Lipos for a long time. I think at first Lipos weren't as good as they are now so extra precautions needed to be taken to make them last.

Got 2nd run today with 4100 pack, this time with full race legal 1500g weight. Love the pack as it give good punch whole 8mins in our spec race(3900KV motor), and faster than others non-brand LiPo...

But the wall of weight is indeed a bit... too much... At least this give me a perfect left-right balance right at 1503g
