Default SMC 4100 and 5200 Hardcase 7.4V 24C Lipos

After the huge success of our high performance 28C Lipos we have decided to release 24C packs for the budget minded racer and the RTR users who don't need the last bit of performance.

In preliminary testing our 24C packs are only 1 to 1.5 milliohms higher in IR than our 28C packs so we expect very good performance at a very good price.

These new packs should be shipping to our distributors the first week of October.

Part # 4124LD (Deans connector) 4124LT (Traxxas connector)

Retail: 95.00 Minimum Advertise Price 64.95

Size: L 136mm x W 46.5mm x H 20.5mm

Case: New colored top wire case

24C/5200/7.4v

Retail: 125.00 Minimum Advertise Price 84.95

Part # 5224LD , 5224LT

There is tooling costs involved when releasing new Lipos so at the moment there is no plans on releasing a lower priced saddle but if it does become very popular we will consider it.

Is there a noticeable difference between 24C and the 28C if just used for Stock/17.5 racing?

I tested this at the Gate for the Halloween race which was 10.5 motors and my lap times were nearly identical... Once again Danny is the man... :-)

Thanks Again Danny,

4100, I think 5200 may be overkill for stock/17.5.

Here are the cycle numbers on the first cycle on 2 random packs of each. I charged at 2C and discharged at 35 amps with the room temperature at 70 degrees. The voltage sensing leads are attached to the power leads.

4100/24C:

429 (4170mAH) - 7.29 - 7.8

428 (4161mAH) - 7.29 - 7.9

5200/24C:

534 (5191mAH) - 7.35 - 6.6

537 (5220mAH) - 7.37 - 6.4

I am new to on-road, just got a Xray T2 (old one) and planning to start in the 17.5 rubber class (indoor).

Do you think I need to get the 4000 28c packs or will the 4100 24c packs be good enough for me?

Any advice?

Thanks,
Rocky

You will have good performance with our 4100/24C as the voltage curve and IR pretty close to our 28C pack.

Hey Danny,
Do you know if these(either one) would fit in the Losi Type-R without any modifications?
Thanks,
Steve
