By the way, The guy who owns BMI RACING (they have a discussion thread on this borad), he said that he would work with anyone to make new chassis. So if you ever think about reproduce that chassis, you should talk to protc3 on BMI Racing thread.

I would buy one too, if it's availabe. It's really cool to make a 414M into a 414.5m.

A very nice personal touch.

Use the stock setup or the WR setup.

If you're thinking of selling a 414MII, PM me. I may be interested. I'd like to get someting to take to Tamiya to get some track time before the Reedy Race. I'm not a fan of shaft drive and don't want to pop for a 415 when it won't be my primary car.

Very nice! I have actually designed a similar chassis for myself. Took some time getting accurate measurements of all the holes, but got there in the end. I have also modified the motor position to get the motor as far to the leftside of the car to counterbalance the battery pack. I did that by placing the motorplate on the inside of the bulkhead and turning the spur gear holder around (with a few small mods, but nothing major, so I can always make the car original again).

I have one question for you:

- What is the distance of the inside edge of the battery slots to the centre of the chassis? (2mm?)

That is my biggest challenge/issue/problem. I don't want to place the battery such that it rubs the belt, but on the same time I want the battery to be as close to the centre of the chassis as possible.
If you could give me that distance that would really help me out and I can finalise the chassis drawing and send a CAD drawing (.DXF) to a manufacturer! (Fibre-Lyte in the UK)

if you are in the US and know someone lives in CA. Just wait for next TCS finals to get those lightweight bulkheads. They were sold at TCS final for 20 dollar a set. (f/r, and 10 dollar motor plate).

but it doesn't come with the 3x6 ti-screws and the bearings.

If you are looking for lightweight motor mounts and the possibly the bulkheads call 717-633-9490 (RCO Hobbies). They have alot of 414M2 stuff and I remember seeing the lightweight motor mounts a few weeks ago. Ask for Allison.
