Jaco tire report...
We had a great turnout at Seattle Indoor Raceway last night...
Many racers including Travis Schreven and Korey Harbke were on hand to do battle in 13.5...
Sorex 36s have been the tire of choice lately...
Myself, Korey and Jaybee all tested the new Jaco Blue compound tires...
SIR is a tight, high grip indoor asphalt track...The Jacos were very good! All of us could turn the same laptimes as other tires....
The Jacos do give a little more natural steering than the 36s...so some may want to make some small tweaks to setup...and tire wear was just a tick more than the Sorex tires...
As for sauce the tires performed well with both Tire Tweak and FX2...
Overall we are very happy with the tires performance at SIR
I will be testing them at our local parking lot track this weekend and I will post a report later...
Great job Jack!

I have been using Tire Tweak on mine. Then running warmers on them at 6v for probably 20-30 minutes to throughly bake in the tweak. Seems to work great for me. This past weekend, I was closing in on the leader in the main, and would have made the pass except for a few bobbles. Running on new Jacos that were closing in on the 10 run mark. Still fast, and they still look pretty good for wear.

On the sets I tested at SIR I preferred FXII. Tweak really freed up the car and was pretty consistent, but the FXII didn't require much warm up, and it provided more overall grip for the entire run.
I'm sure when I run outdoors with them and it gets really hot... Tweak will be better since it seems to keep the tires a little cooler than some other traction compounds.

I think you may have nailed it for the difference between Tweek and FXII. I was having trouble discerning between the two. Thanks for describing what you experienced sooooooooooooooooo well.

My track hasnt had tires all summer, and all they carry are jaco tires. This sucks big time. People are willing to throw money at jaco, but all they deliver are empty promises.

Any ideas if these are going to make it over to the UK?
From what everyone here has said, it looks like they would be a brilliant control tire for us here, possibly even for our National series. Pretty much the only tires available in the UK are Sorex and Muchmore at the moment!
