Maybe just Maybe its a 1/24 scale like a slot car with a specially designed track(system) to run it on with computerized lap counters etc. but it all radio control throttle and steering hmmmm the founder of xray started in slot cars maybe it is time to revist and innovate that realm???

Sorry fatdoggy, I wasn't really trying to steal anyone's thunder, just trying to recap what seemed obvious from the pictures. There are a few people that can see what the car is, but there is also a lot of wishful thinking (a Micro F1).

To me it makes so much sense to approach a Micro chassis the way they have. There are already foam tires for the HPI car (Trinity, Orion) and there is also a small range of motors (Orion Elite, Big Block, Stock, Graupner Speed 300, etc.). Also, if it has the same body post locations, then you can use all of the HPI bodies. So there is very little risk for XRay... they make the car, hopefully recover their costs in the first couple of months and just see what happens... cool deal for us if the car is good!

They won't have any problem recovering costs if the car(micro) has full independent suspension...

Default Shaft Driven Micro?

What if the car is a shaft driven Micro? How many of you would sign up on the waiting list? Just wondering.

I remember seeing some pics a while back that were of a new X-ray car, and they were a 4WD 1/12, like the new yokomo car. It was the 4-cell layout with 2 belts. That may have been a hoax, or it may be this project.

I just got an email from x-ray, I'm subscribed to their info email thing. It says

"PS: Besides the exciting news from the racing, we also bring you exciting
product news. XRAY will release two completely new model cars at the upcoming
2003 Chicago Hobby Show . Watch out and prepare yourself for an XRAY ride."

Yes, I copied that exactly from the email, and it says TWO cars . Has anyone heard anything about either of those new cars, except that teaser video they released a little while ago. Ohhh, I can't wait to see coverage of the Chichago Hobby Show, I wanna see those new cars !

I think it is a 1/18 scale car. Looks just like a Micro RS4.

Well there obviously ment for the carpet season. I know this sounds rediculous but wouldn't a 1/18th pan car be absolutly sweet. ahhhh I wish........

What about a something like the mini mr4tc that yokomo has. That is 1/12 scale, and faster and bigger, probably better and more fun. But I still think it will be a 1/18 scale micro like HPI's.

try the buds car they make a 1/18th pan car. I just dislike the micros the current cars just dont handle well at all. in my opion 1/18th scale will always be a basher market just like monster trucks. just not a good racing platform.
