I'm about to purchase some lipos for my touring car. My question is ... Will 3200 mah lipo be enough for a 6-7 min heat using Tekin RS with a 13.5 motor?

Edit:

My Setup:
HB Cyclone TC
Tekin RS with 13.5 motor
KO propo low profile servo
Spektrum Pro receiver
6-7 min heats

With a 17.5, I use an average of about 2200 mAh in 6 minute heats. I would think that you should get a 5000mAh pack, not necessarily for total mAh, but rather for average voltage over the entire run. When you use less of the total capacity, the higher the average voltage is.

I disagree, the brakes are lacking in all classes with all motor types with maybe the exception for some 2wd classes like 2wd off-road and 1/12th scale.

(2) Randy is looking into this specific "high speed braking issue".

Cheers I'm talking about the same thing and not having problems. I know Randy is working on it for you guys that are having problems. That's what is great about TEKIN. I hope he finds it for you. I know alot of the eXpress Motorsports Team is not having this issue. " high speed braking"

Brakes are not lacking on my TC. I only have my breaking set to 70 and can lock it up and spin the car out/strip a spur gear at basically full speed with a 10.5.

I have only with one motor braking problems and that is with my speedpassion.
All my other motors brake very good. Also on the big track were I was last Sunday. Even my 4,5T LRP X11 motor.
I think that it also depends on the radio settings and some motors.

I can't wait for next weeks race as I took a few weeks off to do family things. The most controversal racer of all time will be racing at Norcal Hobbies on the 12th Fun will be had on and off the track. I will start out with the Redline 13.5 with the timing set at 0. Once I get the settings feeling right I will switch motors and try a different motor with the timing set to 0. Off the track I will have a blast in the pits joking with spx users and messing with the buddies that have the new Top car. I hope to leave there with a good speedo starting point for that track so all Tekin users in that area always have a go to standard set up. Is it the 12th yet????

One factor that people with lack of brake strength have in common so far is tha the rollouts or FDR's are HUGE compared to us here in the states. Since the gearing is so tall it's harder to slow the car.

We are in working on an adjustment to compensate. Often times the brakes are turned down because they're too strong. I remember the first time I slammed the brakes in testing I stripped a spur!

We are going to make it right...

I just switched to Tekin last week and I love it. Very nice esc.

Anyway, I didn't notice the softer brakes until I swapped my express 17.5 out for a novak 17.5 I had last weekend. The novak had good top end but the brakes were really soft. Switched back to express 17.5 today and I can lock up the tires at the end of the sweeper if I want. So I guess it has to do with different motor designs and how well it works with the tekin program. I'm going to try a novak 13.5 versus my express 13.5 this week to see if I can duplicate what happened in 17.5

Oh i forgot to mention FDR was very similar between both motor brands

Randy,
Thanks for the response.

Do you have any comments about:
-- the type of change you are planning to make
-- when it is likely to occur
-- who will perform the end user beta testing to verify the change
(before full public release)

Cheers
