I was reading Jasons snowbird setup for 13.5 and it says fdr of 7.6. Is this correct. It seems extremely high for a track that size

Bakers setup he has a start rpm of 39XX, that option never came up for me when i put his end rpm of 10001?

Set your Boost down and replace it with Turbo.
As you lower your boost to 45 and set 10 Turbo, You will have a smoother acceleration.
What you also can do is use this setup.
Boost 50
Turbo 10
Turbo delay 0
Turbo ramp 2
Start RPM 5100
End RPM 17000
Throttle 5
Gearing 7FDR (to start with) Watch the motor temp.
As you don't do full throttle, your car drives easier away.
So for the infield this is better to drive.
When you hit the straight. give full throttle and you fly away.
As you want even more acceleration set your Turbo ramp to 3. Hold on this is fast.

I agree here. Cuff's setup says 2000-7000 but 2000 doesn't come up either. I ran schreff's 13.5 setup in 17.5 yesterday with a 5.86 FDR. Car was very fast and easy to drive. Ripped out of the corners and pulled smooth for the entire straight.

how long of a straight.there is no right or wrong setup to a certain degree,some work a little better than others,that set up is similar to schreffs set with a high rpm rang and 0 turbo delay

Barry did say it was 39XX something or other... So we put 39xx.
You get the point. Same goes for Cuffs and even I'm guilty of this. The main important figure are the first 2 digits really.
In general a larger track will have a wider rpm band. A smaller track narrower.
Also if you have a great 1s setup, double those numbers for your TC and that should get you close.
For example if Jeff has 2,000 start and 7,000 end a good starting TC setup would be 4,000 start and 14,000 end on the same track in TC. This is because of the 1s vs. 2s . The usable rpm's are pretty much double from 1s to 2s.

The large outdoor tracks I have raced on (granted they are really large approx 50x20m and about 70-80x30m) would certainly allow full chat through most of the corners, so I would want to accelerate quickly and reach top speed as I entered the main straight (or the straights inbetween).
Here's my favourite track, scale bottom left.

I am not sure I agree with this one. Better acceleration is good anywhere you can use it. Sure you top sooner on large track, but then you can use turbo?
