Hi Randy

Thanks for all the info on the new Turbo mode. By the why your email reads the release of 200 is just around the corner.
Be great if it is with the next couple of weeks. We have our state title coming up and we need to keep the LRP boys at bay.

200 IS close. I want it now just like the rest of you. There is always a race that I know it will make a difference at, trust me.

Tekin has always been "by the racers, for the racers."

I've dropped from a 3.7-3.8 FDR to 4.3-4.4 FDR in 17.5 TC going from 198 to 199/200.

On short tracks Yes I will drop motor timing. Anytime I'm fighting motor heat this is the FIRST adjustment I will make if I know my gearing is close and I want to drop 10 degrees.

Randy those FDR's seem awfully high for 17.5 when using Boost in the ESC. Are you running on a large open track with no slow corners?

We run on a rough asphalt parking lot 100'x70', track temp by mid day around 135deg, and with a GTB & Novak 17.5 with full timing in the motor I was only running a 4.6. I just purchased an RS for this car and will be running it tomorrow for the first time. I've set the gearing at 5.3 FDR, 25 boost, ~5 deg on the motor and I'm thinking it still going to get a little on the hot side.

Thanks Randy

I am currently running 4.1 FDR with 30 boost and the motor is running too cool. 50c, it is winter down here so day temp is around 15c. So with 200 and the weather starting to warm up i should be right on the money for 200.

Any recommendation for motor heat sink and fans?

Well we carried out the race testing this weekend with the 199 software at a race meeting and with great results. A win for one in 13.5 using smaller rollouts and with the motor coming on way cooler.

Looks like this software is going to be a weapon. The guy using the software was able to pass and pull away at ease

cannon thank you very much for your help with the rs pro this weekend.we done a few different settings with it and all i have to say is (oh my god)the turbo setting is unbelievable i improved my best lap time by almost a second over the speed passion esc.we used it during our state titles and going down the straight once the turbo ramped up it took off like a rocket.i must say if i wasnt using this esc there was no chance i could have one the third a-main and the title coming back from half a lap down.best esc i have ever used and i dont think i will use ever anything else.

ah ok, i am using a gm pro10.5t. although it is a good motor it doesn't have the high rpm output of some of the other brand of motors and it doesn't work as good with the rs pro as some of the other brands it seems. A tekin redline 10.5t is on the way.

we have just came back from 3rd leg of turkish nationals,
rs pro dominated the race,
i have become 3rd , 1st and 4th position also went to rs pro.
today i set a new record for the tracks best time with 19.5 second, we pushed the limits of rs pro i believe today, running 4t motor with lipo and the races were 7 minutes, the weather was around 35 celcius,
with 8.57 fdr, i have seen 7 lights in the temp of esc.

from what i understand the push control is pretty much anti drag the higher the setting the longer the esc works against the motors natural drag so it free rolls better.correct me if im wrong

My settings at 4.5 GM are these Value PUSH CONTROL at 80.
By PUSH CONTROL at 0 disappointing performance engine.
Can I set the max value?
Thank you.

I got with the 199 the same motor temps but that is because I must have all the power that I can find to keep up with the other drivers.
The winner of the first 2 races of the Belgium championship is there to.
I'm using some of his lipo's for the races.
Also the Track is long.
He is driving a SPX with a LRP X11 10,5
5,7FDR
I'm using a Tekin RS Pro With a Redime 10,5T
6,3FDR and next time I will be using an other setup.
This was my setup.
Boost 15
Motor 12
Turbo Max
Throttle 5
Brake 100
2s lipo

Next time I will try this setup.
Boost 10
Motor 10 to 12
Turbo Max
Throttle 5
Brake 100
2s lipo
and 6,0 to 6,3 FDR just see what is better.

Also will the Belgium driver drive with the Tekin Redline 10,5T motor.
He wants to try it and as it's faster he wants one.
And it is faster, so he will buy one for the races in the Netherlands.
