After reading for a week I am only at page 100 and it looks like the thread it's growing faster than I can read. Just tell me who doneit?

Anyway, can someone please tell me do these speedos come with the aluminium case and the second capacitor now?

And again, what is the software version they ship with now?

To avoid reading the 100+ pages, you can start here: http://www.rctech.net/forum/5940355-post4315.html

I received a new RS Pro from Stormer last week. It came with a plastic case (is there an aluminum one in the works?) and one capacitor (I added a second Tekin cap). It was running 180 firmware, which I immediately updated to 198.

There was a aluminum bottom case made on once or twice for the r1pro to help with cooling. TVS and cap were also used.

The cases are plastic, as are most other brands are as well.

As for the shipping software and cap, I got two RS's last week with version 180 on them and a single capacitor.

Wouldn't you run the risk of shorting your speedo on that case?

^^ The thing I find interesting about that set-up is that the solder posts are the heat sinks, and that one has them nicely insulated in plastic heat-shrink!

When you are looking at the speedo after a run and the lights indicate the temp of the speedo, at what point should I be concerned? How many lights? I have seen as many as 4. I was over geared and geared down and it is now 3 lights.

Thanks

You don't have to worry until you see 6 or even 7 leds light up. You have a ways to go even at 4 leds.

I placed the soldering post to words the side so it cools more.
I don't have any heat problems.
I drive 10,5T with 5 cell.

Tried the Boost on max and motor (Tekin Redline 10,5T) on 4.
5,3FDR and the speed was good. Acceleration was also good but not better than the LRP X11. So i tried 5,15FDR with boost max and motor on 0.
More speed in the infield. better acceleration and a little bit more top speed.
Motor got 147,2F. I used a LRP cooler without the fan on it.
Think that i try to gear to 5,0FDR and see what that will do.

Motor is running great now. i'm faster in the infield and i have a good speed. A little bit slower than the others but not much. The infield is a lot faster.
I'm going to check my lap times this Saturday and race this Sunday with this combo.

Does any one now when the Turbo will come?
