Your absolutely right testing is key.., going to grab a bunch of pinion sizes to try out this weekend. Hopefully I'll have this heating issues solved soon. Thanks for the advice.

Drag brake 5
Brake strength 100

Neutral width 10
Push control off

If there is a way to adjust the rpm range it is not in my version, or at least I don't see that option.

Also I have two tekins and they both exhibit similar reactions to immediate throttle input, both on the track and on the bench. I can physically see the hesitation from throttle input to car reaction. This problem only exists on my tekins...LRP and Speed passion do not do this.
Just a thought. i noticed with my tekin rs, and more so with rx8 (using same radio and reciever) if i turned my car on right beside my radio(ex both on pit bench 1-2ft away) i had some delay issues inless i rebooted esc or rebinded. same tc and rx with my old lrp sphere i never noticed this issue. now i make sure to keep my radio about 2ft from the antenna from my rc and it seems to be ok. it never made sence to me why it only does it with my tekins but as long as i know it doesn't bother me that much.

you adjust the rpm range by clicking the entering an new end range manually, you then click calculate and it will give you a list of start rpms to pick.

In blinky mode you can not adjust the start and finish rpm. I believe those figures are fixed, hence blinky mode. I have been using 212 Software successfully here in Australia in 21.5 blinky mode class.

Although I do not use drag brake, set at 0, push control at 20 and Throttle profile at 4.

Later,

Calvin.

Correct, start and end RPM are meaningless in blinky mode, since there is neither boost nor timing advance.

Please try the changes in red.

I'm looking for a bit of gearing advice! I've been running a GM 13.5 with my RS Pro geared at an FDR of about 8.0 (turbo of about 10 and boost of about 40-45). That setup worked great but now my club rules have changed and I've got to go blinky. What should I change my gear ratio to for a new ball park figure - it's a smallish indoor carpet track.
Thanks in advance

Have a little issue. Running this esc with my lrp x12 and the boost setting doesnt seem to work if i have no turbo setting. Was trying to run just boost but it doesnt seem to work unless i run some turbo. Sonething im overlooking?

I wasn't going to comment on Art's issues, as I primarily run 1s
Only time this problem occurred using an RS - 1s, was with a Revtech, and a rec pack solved it

Why would I be kidding? There is a reason behind my asking him to change it. If his delay is gone or improves than progress was made.

What most don't realize is that the BEC, rx pack or booster supplies power to the sensor systems as well. So should that voltage be lower than the threshold the RS will start the motor sensorless and pick up the sensors while the car is rolling. This WOULD cause a delay.

Using an aggressive throttle profile with motor timing set high and in blinky mode will be the worst case scenario. Especially in pan car where the ratios approach 1:1 in gearing.

Trust me, I know what I'm doing.

Where are your start and end rpms set to. Turbo is not required to boost a motor.

this is what im fiddling with right now but the 10 turbo made a much bigger difference than the boost amount. seems like it should be the other way around.
