AMR 12. handles well, plenty of room, and looks sweet. Not to mention it is easier to paint than most allowing paint into crevices easier.
To those saying it will slide notice that he is using a Reedy pack, which has the ridges/bumps on the bottom. Although I agree that the rubber ring system has not proven reliable to date for some.

12R5.1 wonderful thing!
Hi!
I can only write one word about 12R5.1-> wonderful!
I build car before race, set it on digital caliper, put on track and
it was wonderful for me :-)
I switch from 12L4 (with lot of upgrades) to 12R5.1 and with 12R5.1 I pimp my ride!
my setup: http://www.rc-setups.com/setups/256/edit/
Regards!

I've run the SM with my AE cars, not sure about the PN though. You may run out of shaft or threads with the wrong part however. At one point I had a bad diff and couldn't get it right untill I replaced the thrust bearing. After that I left the SM out and found I didn't think it was necessary or even really helpful. It kinda changed overnight, but ever since then I have just run the diff stock in my cars and it has been awesome. I think I have only replaced about 3 bearings in 3pan cars in the last 6 months of weekly indoor carpet racing.
I am a big believer in keeping things as simple as possible. Complexity is many times just one more thing that could go wrong and ruin a run. Built right, cheapy steel balls with standard unsanded $2 steel rings and $1 bearings will build as smooth as any fancy sanded/carbide/thrust built diff IMHO.

all of my setups are on the website. The best setup i have found is the one under this years indoor champs. This also works very good in 13.5 and 10.5. It has not been tested in 17.5. setup is 2009 us indoorchamps.
here is the link to the setups . then search drivers look for me or set it for the car.
