Well testing today went very well , kit set up was really good. Wolf's choice of chassis and top deck was spot on!!! The C1 edition is great!!! I made a few changes from the kit set up to suit the track minor changes went to a stiffer spring in the front (AE Blue) and (AE Green) in the rear. Im testing on a medium track tomorow . The car was very stable and very smooth, very quick changing direction. I will post both set ups tomorow nigh, one of them is for a large 1/8th scale track the other one will be for a smaller technical track.

Are these springs any good for the E4?

yes but you need to use the bottom collars for the TC5 part # ASC6475 so you can get the lower ride height that you need. You can use the Tamiya short springs too they are a perfect fit.

after testing friday,saturday and racing today i think that i have a very good set up for both small-medium tracks and it works very well on a big 1/8th scale nitro track. Ill have it posted in a little bit as soon as i put it on a set up sheet.

Hey marco can't wait to see the set up. just curious, is the set up for mod or for 10.5 or 13.5(stock). Good had a bit of problems today. that okay, all part of learning a new car,

Taking a week off then it's back to the grind with this car.

After we race we went to our local track ( Adrenaline RC) to practice some more, its a medium track, and I ran the same setup with a 13.5 and it was really good. My fastes lap there was 11.28 with a 13.5 and another racer's fastes lap was a 11.00 with a Hacker 10.5motor.

Over all the set up worked very well with both motors at both tracks.

I see you use the single arm steering system, Is this better than the 2 arm, if so why? Will it give me more steering?

I see that Wolf do a kit "503901 E4 Single Arm Steering Kit" their is no picture, so I cant tell if everything I need is included, does anyone know?

I like the single arm steering, just my prefrence didnt noticed that much diffrence between the two. My kit (the C-1 ) only came with the single steering kit, Im not sure if the kit that you are asking does but I can find out from Wolf for you.

Just studing the sheet further and you set "Down Stop as 2mm over RH". Can you please explain this a little more and tell me where you make these measurement from.

Thanks and sorry for so many questions, their just is not that many people running this car in the UK so setups/help are a little hard to come by. I am sure I must be able to get it to corner and change direction faster. Apart from that the car is nice and stable and predictable.

I stick with the 2 arm one if it doesnt make any real difference.

for the downstops i 1st make sure that they are even on both sides with a droop gauge, then I put the tires on and set the ride height that i want , then i liftup the car until the tires start to leave the ground and then i slide the ride height gauge under it,i then adjust the droop screws until I reach the mm over the ride height that I want. I just add the mm over ride height to the ride height thats on the car.

I ran the double steering rack before on my Original E4 and it felt the same so like i said its just a personal prefrence.;)

I've run both the single and dual steering link, and the dual will make the car react off center quicker. Allegedly, when you have shorter steering links, you get quicker reaction off center, and that's what the duo link has over the mono link...the mono link system makes the steering smoother and more consistant, and better on bigger open tracks.
