Trying the 2 hole pistons first with some slightly softer springs on Saturday. Right now just "feels" about right on the push down on the chassis meter.

I never really cared for Corally springs on rubber tire. Get Foam springs though.

Leave me alone.... LOL

Well I'm trying all kinds of springs and then slapping the TM springs back on for comparison. Would rather use what is meant for the car. Got a feeling the TM springs might be it but they did feel a little stiff. What matters though is how it is on the track.

Isaac I still have my shot Tamiya springs that fit your E4. Can always send them to you to try.

I actually have a rack of Tamiya springs.

Guys,

Since next January, we will race lipo packs on 13.5 brushless class, and im stuffed with H-Energy roar approved lipos but today realized that the pack DOES NOT FIT !!!, or if fits, its very very tight and does not enter fully on battery door.

So, anyone please comment on which lipos i have alternative ROAR APPROVED for the E4RS2009 ?

thanks,

I am using H-Energy 4000 hardcase. You are right, it is hard to put the pack into battery space, but I believe you can because I did it. You can't just release the battery tray, you need to take off the block which holds the back end of battery tray (small block a bit ahead the motor mounting space). Now you can slide the pack in and try to keep it as close to the top deck as possible, and then put the block back on while holding battery pack, and then the battery tray. its a bit tedious but this is the way I found I can put the lipo pack in. I also found if I also release the top deck, this work would be a bit easier. I checked the H-Energy website, the dimension for hardcase lipo packs are similar, only 1~2 mm difference in height and length. When my pack in the car, I can still move the pack for few mm, so I think even you use other packs, you should be fine. I hope it helps  By the way, you also need to trim some parts (shown in the manual) and the most importantly, you need to trim the corner of the battery pack where close to the belt tensioner brace (you will know when you slide the pack in:D)

These fit. They are the same as other lipo packs as there are only so many companies making these packs. Everyone just puts on their own sticker.

...and these fit...

oh yes, these packs will fit better than H-Energy because they have lower height at one end so you don't need to trim the corner where close to the tensioner brace

Hopefully I can make something happen this weekend. A-Main!

Original E4.
Added Outer Kfactory center support and Orion 3800 Carbon 30c - Fit like a glove with minor dremem mods to top deck. (No tape needed and no dremel to alloy needed here!) It's the bottom humps that align correctly.

Also: Springs. relatively Smooth track and we are running stiff on 36's Turquoise KFactory Front and Purple rears.

This is what I like about the JS. Its battery compartment fits any and all hardcased Lipos that uses Orion/banana plugs. Thats why I decided to upgrade it rather than replace it with an RS or FS.:)

Guys,

I just passed from Novak GTB + Novak 13.5SS PRO to Tekin RS PRO + Tekin Redline 13.5, i went down from 70 spur + 40 pinion to 72 spur + 36 pinion (without any programming, the Tekin shows to be faster already) ...

Anyone racing rubber asphalt 13.5 with Tekin on E4 that could give me any tips ?

thanks
