Fair enough mate. I think you are certainly doing the right thing in giving CRC the chance to answer the concerns we (in the UK) have regarding the rear track width. Nice one mate!

Also need to know the difference in offset in wheels between :

CRC
BSR
I ran GRP outdoor at club level and was able to run 1mm shims each side and be bang on 200mm, another car I have (from our deceased chairman) has Jaco wheels on it and 2mm of spacers each side to make in 200mm.
I don't have CRC or BSR wheels to check with.
GRP centre middle plastic to inner edge 14.0mm, wheel width 51.6mm
Jaco centre middle plastic to inner edge 14.0mm, wheel width 50.0mm

Dont know how you guys get under 930 gms. Just built new car with protoform corvette shell and no transponder yet comes in at 970gms. If i use jaco wheels 8gms lighter.

The front axles ca nbe positioned so they are directly in-line with the king-pin, or flipped so they are behind the kingpin. It's suggeted that in-line is more aggressive on the steering.

i m new to crc gen x le and i have few problems setting it up such as how long should i set the king pin for, how to measure it. how to measure droop, rollout ride height...etc

Hi mate, just build it as per the instructions. I have found the kit setup to work really well. I adjusted the kingpins so that there's no play on the spring. 40 wt oil in the centre shock, kit lube in the damper tubes, 4 mm ride height. 5 degree blocks with the washers all at the back, side springs just touching the lower pod plate. There's a pic of my car a few pages back, take a look mate. Cheers!

I measured a number of hubs here and they were all 17.8mm. I had never heard of them being changed and couldn’t find any in our stock that were any different…Until I went and measured the hub on a couple of our personal cars. They were 19.1mm. I got with the guys here, and indeed there was a change a while back to narrow up the left side a bit. It has never been an issue because the max width here is 205mm, which is why I never heard of the change. Once some of the other governing bodies overseas started mandating 200mm max, the hub was narrowed slightly and now this is all we have, and this is the only one you would receive if ordered today.
Also, as I’m sure you probably already know, some brands of wheels have a narrower off-set which makes the wider hub ok too, but we needed to make our car fit the rules with the wheels that we sell, so the change was made. If AMC (or anyone else) orders any more hubs, they will be the narrower ones as these are all we have. If you’d like to have Wim contact me, we can work out returning the hubs he has for newer, narrower ones.

here is pic of mine, i just soldered novak smart boost on it and going to use 1s at outdoor
i m using irs shur lub 2nd thinnest for side tubes very little camber. 1.5 degree toe out.
about 4.7mm ride height front to back. white front red rear springs.
does it seems right for outdoor track?
its ready to use 2s battery later this summer

I recently purchased a CRC X-10 LE and so far its working quite well for me. Another racer at the track showed me a CRC left side pod piece that goes all the way to the front of the pod instead of just the micro left side plate. I've attached two images below showing the current pod and the part that I am looking for. If anyone has one available for sale please let me know. I would like to see if it gives added stability. I already use the 4mm top plate as well.
I called CRC and they advised that it is an old part. He mentioned that I could attempt cutting down a motor mount plate and using it but I figured I would check around first.

Just fit another motor side plate if your concerned, also a new part top plate goes right across the motor mount and side mount. I have these fitted to my new LE CRC WGT car.

Everyone wants the old side pod plate back. Not sure why CRC refuses to make them.
I would like to see a blending of the old and the new, take the new side pod plate (with the two holes close together), then add a extension to the front (like the old pod plate), SO you would have 3 screws attaching it to the lower pod. Maybe John Stanhan would pick this up?
