Hello. Sorry for my English. I wanted to ask you if you know how to tell a brushless motor in the picture. The EnRoute not do that. I'm building two twin-engined prototypes, one based on an M02 and a XEvo with my frame. Thanks.

Hopefully someone can share some insight. My club races spec mini (no upgrades besides tires and bearings).

Last year I ran the M03-M with ok success using the Xpress mini rubbers all around or sometimes S-Grip front and M-Grip rear. I just got a M05 setup for medium wheelbase, I was wondering how different is the M05 to M03? Could I use the same tire combo or do I need more front grip?

I was running my M-03 up until just recently and switched to the M-05 as I was getting beaten badly. I ran the medium wheel base M-03 and have my M-05 also set to medium. The tires that seem to work best indoors on carpet are the type B slicks on front with S-grip on the rear.

ok cool so it looks like still more front grip is required.

Who carries that chassis and where can I get one for the M-05.

The best aluminum arms are from a company called Eagle Racing. The only place I was able to find them was through Integy. They're the distributor in North America, I believe.

All the Square products for Mini are really durable. They can be purchased through eBay. They provide multiply degree toe in uprights for the rear end.

I built the ultimate aluminum mini. Hundreds of dollars later I discovered that really the most durable parts are the plastic Tamiya ones...

Why would you do that???? The M03 is the better car unless you are running on carpet or ultra high grip surfaces.

Well IMHO, all minis are extremely equal, it boils down to the correct adjustments on each. M03/5 is very equal in my eyes, i can make both do exactly what i want. Changing the combination of tires springs bodies and sauce (carpet) can make either of these two fly. The wild card is the 04. i found that the RWD is tougher to get the win. IMHO whether it be high grip low grip etc, i still always run type A rear, S grips up front, CA glue on outer tread of the S grips, grey foam insert in both front and rear tires. If found the amount of tire sauce on the S grips can dramatically change the amount of steering. I normall run yellow front springs and red rear, and this past weekend i had to change to red fronts, because the rear was so planted, it wouldnt steer as tight as i wanted! needed the weight transfer. I LOVE the CA on the edge, i can sauce the entire front, get a tonne of grip, and the CA protects me from roll overs.

I was debate putting the Tekin B1 in my mini. currently at RCMart they're only $40. Does anybody have experience using this speed controller.

Tekin's customer service says this product will work in this application, but I'd like the opinion of someone who's attempted this. I question the long term durability of this ESC (Tekin B1) in this application as its primary use is for 380 brushed motors.

Is it me or is the M05 a lot heavier than the M03? Like 50grams heavier.... might suck to race spec class with it now.... but then again both cars were fast last season
