Tamiya mini cooper
Most of the high speed wander goes away with more toe out. I find that when it starts to look like you have way too much, the car starts to settle down. There also seems to be a very fine line between enough and not enough tow out. If I take a half degree out of my car, it gets ugly on the straight even with the Tamiya steering linkage. Give it a try.

I'm thinking of getting a M05 to race in the spec class here (no upgrades allowed besides tires, and bearings). Was wondering what is a good servo to get?
I raced my M03 last season with the Futabu S3003 and it worked ok, just wondering if I should get something faster....

I use a Futaba 51 low profile. It's perfect.

Well thanks for all your help. The response has been overwhelming.
diff
Tried a ball diff but prefer the Tam gear diff that comes with M05 kit, pack it with FG diff grease.
Took it out to see how its wearing and it is still like new.
FG diff grease is very sticky and helps stop wheel spin with one lifts off in corners, a bit like a spool.
New to Tam minis and still have touring EP cars, but not race them for over three months now.
Having too much fun racing Minis .

bodymot,
How does the car differ in handling when using thicker grease in the diff compared to standard Tam light grease?
Is the grease's part # Z-FG06512?
Thanks for your help mate.

Diff grease
Also because the diff gears are not spinning so much it helps the gears from over heating and wearing out.
I am only allowed to run Tam black can and silver can type motors where I race so don’t know if it would work with a lower turn motor.
I just found I had more speed coming out of corners.
hope this helps
just order some more for a mate from WHEELSPIN MODELS UK

Anyone ever used a GWS S11FH servo on their mini? What's your opinion about that servo?
does the M05 kit have the servo horn to fit GWS servo spline?
