2) What is the difference between TA03 diff set and Manta Ray diff set? Which one should I get.

3) Is the new M03m chassis basically the same but with a shorter extension piece to M03L? Just want to know if I get the chassis extension then I could run the BMW Cooper body.

4) Any useless stuff in the list below or did I miss anything that I need.

53340 M Chassis 60D Reinforced Tires Type A x 4

Does anyone know where to get a Honda Civic Type R EK hatchback body that can fit the M03 chassis?

Thanks in advance.

1. get the hard inserts.

2. get the ta03 diff. its smaller

3. run BMW for long chassis

4. I would get. Toe in (for tuning), Quick release battery holder (makes changing batteries much easier - no need for body clips), Spring set (tuning), Turnbuckle (tuning more easier), Hollow carbon fibre shafts (faster)

Also essential (if you want to go fast) is ball bearings if you dont already have

You need to go buy the correct springs for the car, not sedan springs. They make Mini springs you can buy in pairs only , they do not sell them in sets.

That motor alum heatsink is useless. Its more bling than actually functional as a heatsink. But its cheap anyway so pimp your car Everything else is useful.

I use tamiya blue short spring front and regular yellow spring rear.

Upper arms

Hi, I too love racing these M-cars. I'm building another now and was wondering if the 53303 TL01 adustable arms will work on the M03. Has anybody tried this? If they work the car should still be TCS legal.

Also, does anybody know when the Suzuki Swift Super 1600 - M03M
will be released? I would like to get the chassis extender so I can use an HPI 225mm body.

volracer 02-28-2006 02:59 AM

I had seen a date of March 30th and also April. If you check the Tamiya USA website, they list the part number for the new suspension pieces including the body extender. Does anyone know the dimensions of the "1050" bearing that are used in the new suspension pieces?

snopro31 02-28-2006 08:57 AM

Anyone one have a carpet setup for a m04m ? any tips on this car are very welcomed.

asw7576 02-28-2006 09:51 AM

Anyone had tried fixed axle in mini cooper ?

I want to completely eliminate the spin issue.

Jam-ehz 02-28-2006 10:23 AM

1050's are 5mmx10mm, likely 4mm thickness..

ckbridge 02-28-2006 10:50 AM

fixed axle

You could squirt shoe-goo in a stock diff. That should lock it up. If you try it tell us how it goes.

I did and it added a lot of weight up front.....

Turning became an issue with a tight track and I felt it did not help me at all.

The front wheels have 2 functions on the m03, the rear one....
Front: Wheel drive and steering
Rear: tracking only

On a tight track a well built ball diff is the only way to go.....
