Traction roll
Hi there, whats the lowdown on stopping traction roll.
Searching the forum just seems to give totally conflicting advice. Car is pretty std M03(except the motor) cold tarmac, std shocks, 40R Sweep rubber, no sway bars(they seemed to make it worse) I think going to lipo made it alot worse. cheers |
On the carpet track I run on, one constant is Tamiya "S" grips in the front and "M" grips in the rear.
|
Was there ever a 4WD M chassis made by Tamiya? Because I just purchased a chassis that looks like M04L but it has driveshafts even in the front and the seller could not tell me what it was. I got it really cheap cause its just a rolling chassis (no body, motor or electrics). When I get it I will post some pics of it.

I use to get rear end chatter(M05) and that would occasionally lead to rolling so I lowered my weights to inside the tub(they sit maybe 10mm off the ground from inside the actual chassis). Whats your ride height at as well? |

Thank you buddy really appreciate the info. I almost have everything that you listed. Any specific TC inserts that you recommend. Also did you go with 3 hole or 2 hole piston for the shock. Thanks again.
and 3 hole pistons in the shicks with 3mm spacers to limit the down movement |
the best way to stop tracion rolling is to superglue the sidewalls of the front tyres

Going to lipos will require you to add weight to avoid traction rolls. Go to rc-min.net -> "How To's" -> "Adding Weights" for help. |

Does anyone know if the HPI Switch Fiat 500 body is available separately? Even better, a shop stocking it? And is it 225mm or 210mm?

I know, but the Tamiya body splits too easily because its a 3pc mold and Tamiya use thick lexan even on the lightweight bodies, the HPI one should stand up to a bit more abuse (if I can find one ).
