I also am looking for a decent charger. I will probably stick with Nicad for now, but move to lipo in the future. The local shop recommends a Venom charger, but I have read some questionable reviews.
Other options... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXVRS6&P=ML (I owned this one as well and was happy with it, but I needed something that was goona produce more watts since I was charginf 5s batts) http://www.maxamps.com/EOS0606i-AC-DC.htm There are many good ones. |

djr53,
The car will work fine with standard front knuckles and rear hubs. The main hop up to get is the bearings to replace all of the bushes and plastic bearing parts. I have not heard of anyone having heat bending issues with the front left knuckle. You should take a look at the http://www.rc-mini.net/joomla/index.php site and see what they have to say. Make sure you have a good read and then ask some more questions. The ball diff is not always a requirement, but it is good to have. The universals would be higher on my list. 3Racing oil shocks or Tamiya's super mini cva shocks will work with a selection of springs. If your budget stretches then get TRF shocks however they are not really required. You should build the car and drive it and then change things when you want too. Not all of the bling is required to have a fast mini. The standard plastic steering does work, a couple shims and it is gold. My thoughts only. Regards, Calvin. |
Anyone else notice the s800 m05 body on rcmart?
Wasn't the s800 RWD, are we gonna see an m06? Hmmm. |

Does the M05 chassis need to be taken apart to adjust the M05 ball diff? Was told it could be externally adjusted.

It is externally adjustable.

No need to split the chassis with the M-05 ball diff, just unscrew the upper arm and move the drive shaft/dog bone out of the diff outdrive and adjust with 1.5mm driver.

Damn, could racing Minis get any better?

Tire inserts
Hey guys,
I need some advice on the tire inserts. I need to run stock or m-grip tires. Surface is carpet. Which insert should I go for? Probably many different opinions but let's hear em :D Also do you glue the insert to the tire or just glue both ends together and stuff it in? Thanks Julius |
Can anybody provide me the partnumber of the Union Jack roof sticker for the Mini Cooper of Tamiya? I tried Google, but he's not my best friend today. :(
|
Hi Julius,
There are only two inserts, hard and soft. Make tires with both. I would try hard insert first. Glue the foam insert end to end then stuff it in. Good luck and hope you can join our mini races in JP Raceway. Joel |

Hi Julius,
Mini racing in JP Raceway is an old trick :) A new trick would be to get JP to race minis. And what a sight that would be to see you and JP race the mini's :D http://www.fast-rc-cars.com/xmas2008mini.jpg Happy Holidays! |
is everyone running the silver can motors, or have anyone gone 17.5 BL route, or are there other options?
