That is the reverse of what most are running around here.

Try Shimizu 30 on the front and a Spice 32 on the rear or a soft Shimizu on the rear

Stuff like this is the whole reason I believe in spec racing, right down to the batteries. Once it becomes a battle of who can afford more, then it's not racing anymore.

Monkey

So you are saying that you cannot have different manufacturers? There is a bit of a difference between the lipos but 4000 is pretty close to the maximum they can get to fit in the confines of the M chassis

David Jun winning by two laps is more to do with the driver

Did you build your shocks to limit shock travel?

So if its driver, take out the "we must have an expensive lipo to beat David" mentality in racing and your set. A local club up our way have done just that, its amazing to go to the track, and not be bewildered by the latest peice of so called technology that everyone is using now. They run stick packs, and have limited the lipos you can use also (based on price). Works a treat.

I can see the need for a 4000mah lipo if your doing 30 min finals, but for everyone else on this thread, 5-10 min heats, Orion 2400 is the hot ticket. Cheap, very reliable, car is fast, area to put the led across the bottom of it, and did i mention cheap? Allows you to buy more tires!

101, what your wanting is superb rear grip, and understeer, and then progressively find more front grip, right to the point you start to roll. Have you added lead? <probably the most important question in mini. I would recommend taking a good look at your car, adding alot of lead down low. What motors are you running? Black can?

I mentioned my setup for carpet a while back, take a look.

axle182 do you know what weight your mini is?
My club rules state min of 1150 grams, mines 1260 grams using YR 3200 lipo with weights across its length grips rolls quite bad when the tyres warm up.

Try changing the camber to more negative and drop the car lower.

Sorry for the long delay in reply, had to search out the min weight in the rules, as i only remembered i was 100g over. the min was 1200, so i must have weighed in around 1300g with a 2400 Orion Lipo. i know a few people commented how heavy the car is. Also i didnt put any lead outside the wheelbase (meaning its between the front and rear axles) i didnt add anything in the bumpers. All of it was down low too. I placed electronics on the top.

If your grip rolling when the tires heat up, id suggest you go to a harder tire, dont use as much sauce if you us it, and id definately try the CA glue trick. It definately works but add it in small increments. Too much and you can through the tires out, unless you can get the CA off easily.

Thanks for the reply I've got some slightly smaller wheels/tyres to try out from ansman and abc hobby 51mm compared to standard 60mm should help acceleration and the ride height is lower to
