Yes - they really are that exclusive. To the best of my knowledge, there has only been a couple released to the general public - the rest are all hidden away by a select few.

The 20 that exist were commissioned by the guys at rc-mini.net. One was made available for sale on eBay. That's it for chrome chassis.

Did you get the one from eBay, or do you have a smoked chrome chassis with the "smoke" removed?

There were 20 in the box, as pictured on the site. That's all there are.

And I know where each one of those 20 lives. And not all are in Australia......

And I can tell if it's one of the 20 or a 'fake' Hee hee... but I'm the only one who can.

But in the end - it's only a shiny bit of plastic anyway!

I recall reading somewhere that there is a method for washing the tint off of the smoked and blue chrome chassis. I just can't remember what it is.

As I said on the Aussie Mini thread, you CAN do that, but ours are specially marked, so I can tell if it's 1 of the 20.

And I can tell you now, I've got 2 of em! One to keep, and one to race.

mine came directly from someone who worked in tamiya factory..
it was the straight chrome, with fiat body, even the wheels are chrome i dont know how many spokes but lots of spokes on the wheels.

i changed the body and the wheels and tires, the uprites and steering block because im using it for racing.. but i still have all the stock chrome parts, even the extention on the middle part which makes it an m03m. when i read the rarity of it from rc mini.net. i now plan to just display it and buy an ordinary m-chassis to use for racing. hehehe!
