how do I get around tire skipping under high side G's like a high speed corner? It's great that the M05 does not traction roll, but the car literally hops around fast corners. tried the softest spring set up I had with no luck.

Is your car setup as per instructions? I have changed my setup after initial practice today. I have found that you can run softer tyres and also don't need to run the car super low.
More info might be helpful, like what tyres you are running, inserts, motor, how your shocks are setup, etc.
I use TRF M chassis shocks with 3 hole pistons with 50 wt oil front and 40 wt oil rear, built as per instructions. I tested Spice, Pit Shimizu, Powers and Ride tyres in different combinations/different inserts and I don't have this problem.
I have not tested using any Tamiya tyres. I only run 55mm tyres.

Calvin.

I am using mini trf shock with 30wt oil, op333 yellow front, blue rear. Spice 36R with 5mm soft inserts. The track was spayed with VHT. Using a black can. tried it with a 3700nimh.
The cars acts as if there is traction, but cannot put it down to the tires. Do I need to make it heavier?

redbones,
I do not have an answer to your problem. Jeff would be correct if you are not using universals. How old are your tyres. I ran spice 36R with 5mm insert front and Pit 30D grooved on the rear with a 4.1mm orange insert and the car was very easy to drive. I did not have any bounce.
I am also using 4000 Lipo's and have the car at 1330 gms, minus transponder.
I have TRF yellow springs front and rear and have not measured ride height. I do know that I have no scratch marks on the bottom of the chassis after having run three full 4000 Lipo's in the car using a Hobbywing 13T BL system.
I am also using a tight TAO3 ball diff, universals and wheel spacers.

Sounds like the car has too much traction, hence the bouncing, go harder oil, and harder spring, the bounce is caused by the tires grabbing and letting go.
Are you using the short TC springs or the flouro coloursed ones? If the Flouro those are mega soft and will overgrip the car.

Bradd,
He's using the short fluro springs , which are softer.

Ran the M-05 today on parking lot track. I had so much grip with the 60D slicks it was tracktion roll city switched to M-Grips (yes M) and the car worked great. Lots of potential with this car.

Thanks for the info guys.
Calvin, would you mind posting your shock settings?
The M05 is very stable, but the weight distribution is far off from the ideal 60:40 for a FF car. Added some weights inside the front bumper (66g) and will see how that affects it. Currently, the distribution is 56:44 using a 3700nimh and the total weight is a whopping 1411g
well, rc-mini did say more weight can have some merits.

redbones,
My front and rear shocks use three hole piston and built as per the M chassis TRF instructions with the o ring under the piston. I use 50wt oil front and 40wt oil rear. I have fitted yellow TRF springs front and rear. Length as per instructions.
I have the collars wound down approx 2mm front and rear. I still haven't measured my ride height. I will revise post when I do later.
I ran the kit again tonight in the cold and found that I needed to run softer front and rear tyres fitted with softer inserts. The car was again stable with no traction roll issues. Poor choice of tyres induced rear sliding out. Easily fixed by tyre change.
My kit is built as a MO5L.

$$$...,
I purchased mine from rc champ. I believe that Feral Batteries had a couple, might now be sold. I am located in Sydney and have run mine at Whalan and Penrith.
