Update on the Novak GTB 4 Cell thing

I talked to a few people today, and also contacted Novak's tech line. In general, the opinion is that it will be fine to run this ESC with 6 cells, as the loads isn't that much. Novak said that officially, the answer is no, but they know racers who have been doing this for some time with no issues. So, that's pretty cool. Just don't expect warranty coverage.

I'd rather have warranty coverage:nod:

what lipos fit in the mo3??

Thax for the help in advance

LIPO's FOR MINI

Yeah racing 3200 and 4000(which is actually a 3600) These come with a Tamiya plug but a deans plug is included. Orion 3200 also fits the mini with no modification if you have a newer mini, which has two holes on the battery retainer. The Orion has corally connectors.

BTW

I agree with foxy923 regarding the warranty with Novak system and also if you decide to run the speedie in a Touring car you will have issues.

Later

FOXY923 07-29-2008 05:33 AM

The Orion 2400 also fits and for the same price as 2 of the old 2400NiCds it's a great way to play on a budget.

Finally... (and about time I hear you all say) some more updates on rc-mini

Click here to read our review of the latest Ride tires. Old name but an all-new tire.

Oh and there are a whole heap more cars in the Mini Fan pages too!

Tony,

Great article on the Rides. I am still using the old pattern rides, however I think they are great on asphelt and concrete.

I will have to get some of the new ones and try them out.

Thank you

Calvin.

Lipo and Ride tires

I am about to get a m03. The ride tires listed here, where could I get them in the US? Also the Core 3250 Lipo fits the m03 as well. :tire:

Well, I bit the bullet, made up my mind, and bought a Novak XRS. I hope it works out.
