I have the M03 and heaat sink ... after around 10Min run with a sport tuned tamiya motor ... the motor was quite hot ... but also the heat sink was hot ... not as hot as the motor but still ... this means that it does help a bit on dissipate temperature ...

It also look cool and it doesn't cost much $$$

PS: I got the Tobee Craft : 40530 M03-06 A high ratio gear set 36T

This kit come with a spoor gear that is 36T instead of stock 37T ... so I can gain from 37/20 to 36/21 ... that help a bit with stock motor ... this Tobbe kit could allow to replace the spoor with others : 37T,36T,35T,34T ... I would be interest to know where I can get the 35T and 34T ... RainbowTen has these spoor not in stock ... just the basic kit (40530) is available.

Anybody knows a good Internet shop for Tobee Craft M03 parts ???

IMO, it`s a gimmick in regards to any heat dissapation..When you think it`s only connected to the motor by two screws it can`t take away that much heat.

But on the other hand it might add abit of strength the the motor mount.

Either way i think i`d put my money towards something that actually enhances the car..ie suspension,ball diff etc.

I think the heat sink is worth the money, not a gimmick, while the connection is only two screws, it does draw away significant heat from the motor even with just two screws (feel it after a run), and with the motor alone encased in plastic, the heat sink is good safety. It will keep your motor from fading at the end of a run due to heat buildup.

Did you see the pic I posted? If not please go back and view it.
Look for the LONG joint and it's the same in the manual.... On the right.
If you put it in backwards it will be off balance...

I have a Manta Ray Ball diff on my M03 ... I have to say that the manual is fully unclear about which is the right orientation in the car.

Is this "Look for the LONG joint and it's the same in the manual.... On the right." also valid for manta ray ball diff ???

Yes, looking at all the directions/pics it shows the long joint on the right. The right side is just like a real car...... passenger side.

errr...i doubt it. i have one on my car and it just doesnt make a difference.i have even used it with a 6 turn and 3600's running for 10 minutes (just) and it really doesnt make a difference.

shocks,tyres and rear toe in blocks are the best value for money.

I have a gear diff does anybody know what kind of grease I could use to lock up the gear diff.
I used the tamiya diff grease and it is spinning way to free.

Some body told me to use 7000 weight silicone.

I think the silicone would leak out of the gear diff then into the gear box.

i made a spool by jamming up the gears in the diff. it worked well.

Put in/fill it with shoe-goo and let set over night..... (The orginal bevel gearing)
