No...the width is the same....it's the overall diameter or the height thats different. The super slick is a smaller tire..so it has a much smaller overall rollout on a mini...not very desirable with a silver can.

The compound is also different.
Super Slicks are much more durable and suited to warm to hot weather. Type A's dont like the heat so much at all... |
where can you buy these hop up shocks/dampers and which are the best?
I believe TRF dampers work and are the better ones?? |

I too am running mini for the first time and my first build. Recieving a lot of help from lots of friends with mini. Without them I'd be lost. Here in Aliso Viejo,Ca. we are running the teflon spacer that come in the shocks on the bottom. I never throw mine away but I was told to run 3 on those spacers under the piston this is using the plastic shocks. Run 60 wt in the front and 35wt. in the rear. Short yellow in the front and short neon yellow in the back. I don't know if this set-up will work with yours but if you find one that works post it on you website! More info later!:sneaky: Gotta go! Max, Try this set up on your mini I run this at socal and with a few minor adjustments from time to time my car is dialed. Two hole pistons front and back Three o rings inside the shock 80 front with white springs 40 rear with blue springs (sometimes red depending on track condition) Silver sway bar up front Black in the rear and some times I dont run one depending on track condition Little bit of toe out for the front Stock uprights in the rear HPI X pattern belted with green HPI inserts all the way around (you have to cut them to size naturally) Sometimes I will run a red insert up front depending again on track conditions Pretty basic I hope this will help everyone seems to run a different set up but usually it ends up to be stiff/hard up front soft/medium in the rear. It just all depends on your driving style. PM me if you have any other questions or need parts. By the way are running mid or short chassis. I believe TRF dampers work and are the better ones?? I have been using the plastic CVA shocks and been happy with them. My car performs as well or even better than my co racers who use the TRF shocks. However I have noticed that they need reoiling more often than the TRF shocks on my touring car. |

The 60d is a belted tire, like what we run in the touring cars. The Super Slick is not and will / can balloon up The 60d is the stickiest tire that Tamiya sells |
