As for my odd outdrive issue, turns out the black o-ring that WAS in there got chewed up and only part of it was still buried in the outdrive. Not sure how that happened, but I put a new o-ring back in there and naturally there is no more excessive play. I'll pay more attention to it from now on. |

Another good choice would be the Spektrum A5040. It's spec'ed at 66 oz-in, and is reasonably affordable. I use these in my 17.5 TC cars, and they work fine. |

I have used the futaba mini servos (same ones used in 12th scale) with great success in the 03 and 05. Splines are the same as a std futaba ones, and it saves a lil weight.

They are very hard and dont hold/retain much oil if any.. over time they dry up, crack, get brittle.. Then you can guess the rest.. |

One needs to be careful with anything called a "micro" servo. Many have output shafts that don't match any available servo savers. Maybe someone can let us know if, indeed, this is true for the Savox 1250.
I think I'm going to stick with standard sized and the low profile servo's. |
I've always liked Futaba servos, ...I have the S9551 low profile servo in my Mini and am very happy with it.

If I'm not running the Tamiya High Torque Servo Saver, my go to servo is the S6070 and run Kimbroughs. :) The SC1251MG uses the same Futaba 25spline, so I may end up using more Savox down the road for Tamiya cars that run Tamiya High Torque Servo Savers. I'm currently running one in my M03 and I like it. For some reason Spektrum's 23 spline is SUPER TIGHT to put on when I use Tamiya servo savers. :weird: This is why I only use Kimbroughs with Spektrum servo's. BTW, has anyone tried this servo? These Servos are still too heavy at 48gram.... Blue bird Servos weigh 32grams, and are analog.... It saves the cost of a new radio, Rx, etc.... That's almost $600 savings right there.... I think mini racing has become too expensive.... There are $1300 minis racing tcs... That's absurd.....
