Tamiya mini cooper
So what are your thoughts about using EVA mats for your RC track? Do you recommend the ones with the carpet on top layer?
I currently have a small 280qt ft track in my basement to run my M05's. I just have a few rugs in the corners for traction but want to lay out an entire track. I've read about Ozite but 12x80ft is much too big to order from CRC for me.
I want decent traction and the ability to expand later.

Thanks monkeyracing. I know HomeDepot sells those really low pile indoor/outdoor rugs (6x8 or something) Would those work? I do intend to carpet tape it to my basement concrete floor (sealed).
We race on commercial carpet squares, in an indoor Exhibition Centre. Not great grip - Tamiya M Grips are the tyre of choice, and Touring Cars need to use foams to get sufficient grip. But it's fun still!

That is the main issue for me with the rugs I currently have. I can't use it anywhere else by the turns as the car drifts diagonally even from the short thread length.
Haven't seen much bending from the light/lower power cars.
Then again I haven't used these LW shafts so I'll find out real quick!
Thanks, Sith. Does your car track weirdly (like diagonally) over these carpet squares due to the pile at all?

Can anyone verify part #'s or know if you can purchase just the cross joints & shafts for the swing shafts?
Looking to build 2 sets (regular M03's & the light weight version for certain events)
I saw part #53500 & #42221 but don't see the reference for compatability of the M-chassis
