Tamiya mini cooper
Nice looking car, btw.
Can anyone verify part #'s or know if you can purchase just the cross joints & shafts for the swing shafts?
Looking to build 2 sets (regular M03's & the light weight version for certain events)
I saw part #53500 & #42221 but don't see the reference for compatability of the M-chassis

#53500 are designed for a grub screw.
Tried the low pile indoor/outdoor rug today bought from HomeDepot to see if I could use it as my track surface. It was the $18-19 one. Short answer: NO.
The car follows the strands and drifts diagonally
Backside was better in that terms, but not enough traction regardless; so I returned it.
Will try the interlocking mats next.

Some folks sent me PM's about the x-rings I use on my clear CVA super mini's on my V2.
This is it, the 50 durometer one. #42214 In the USA it's about $12 for 8pcs. For those with M05's and want to get oil dampers, I suggest skipping the CVA super mini's + x-rings and just buy the aluminum dampers for m-chassis.

Ta03 diff which side does the nut go on the driver side (left as viewed from behind the car) or passenger side (right)?
I though it goes on the right side.
I see both listed as correct when people comment when searching.
Thanks
Tom

Others can chime in, but I don't think it makes a difference. On my M05ProV2 I tightened the nut from the left side of the car. But on my M05, I tried it in both orientations and I could not tell a difference. I do recommend you use the red Tamiya thread lock though.
