Dave
Never said they weren't any good. Just not as good as the TRF ones. I like the fact that all parts for rebuilding them are readily available here in the US. My experience with 3Racing products has been that most of their stuff just isn't the same quality as the Tamiya part. The shocks on the Mini I usually race came off of an Evo 1. That was 14 or 15 years ago. Everything on that car has been replaced except for the servo and the TRF shocks, which weren't called TRF back then or maybe they were. I forget. This car is a veteran of well over 200 races, a thousand plus practice sessions, and close to or more than 5,000 runs. I have other Minis, but this one, my first, has always been the best.

I've always felt that quality products for shocks, esc, and especially servos were cheaper in the long run. Add receivers and transmitters. They also just work better and increase your enjoyment of the hobby.

The other knock on 3Racing stuff is that none of it is legal for TCS racing.

Have you use the original spring that come with the 3 Racing? Or you replace with the tamiya?
I'm currently using the 3racing black springs but I'm new at this mini thing. I may switch to tc5 springs if I want to change their rate as that is what I have.

The stock pinion come with 20T on the M05.
With a silver motor what size pinion can I go higher? Like 22T maybe?
Please advice me, thank you.

My opinion is just use your stock tires first let see how it work and ask other guys who run mini at that track. Here at CA. At the Tamiya TCS track the Tamiya 60D Super grip tires is what people use at the track. The reason I said this because tires are expensive, example that Tamiya super grip is $35.

Woah! Where do you get your tires from?

http://www.rcmart.com/tamiya-53254-m...?cPath=35_1386

Are we talking the same tires here?

That is only two tires, no rims or inserts.

Chris was referring to the Spec tire for TCS racing. These are basically the S Grips, hard foam inserts, on a special rim used only for the Spec tire
premounts. The wheels are identical to the Swift wheels. The guys who run at the Tamiya track use them only cause they have to use them for the TCS races.

These premounts are $35 for 4 and Speedtechrc has them for $35. I believe TQ RC Racing may have also, but don't know their pricing. They are about the same price as buying your own components and gluing your own. They are part #1016

Hope this clears it up for you.

Thank you. I just know that the motor mounting is non slide adjustable.
Yes, what Grandpa said is correct. That is a TCS legal tires 60D super grip, SpeedtechRc have it and also TQracing same price.
Goodluck.

Will the HPI Porsche Cup body #7211 fit on an M-05 S-Spec? I tried searching but didn't come up with anything definitive.

Yes, I've raced an M05S with this body, it will just fit, but not if you use the optional front shock tower.
