im building a spec m05 and need to know if the writing on the rear bearing carrier goes to the front or rear?

Writing on the aluminum hubs faces the back of the chassis (should also say right and left)

Hey guys... What is the diameter of the tyres you run on the mini's... Not the 60D's, but the smaller sized ones like HPI x-patterns and similar....

Most other tires are considered to be 55mm...

Anything as small as 50mm?

No way, the rims are just on 45 mm so you'd never get a Mini tyre with that low a profile.

For what its worth, RC18R tires are about 46mm so thats closer, sort of

question. We run on a medium sized track with ozite. Which body and wheelbase would you guys run? I have always just run the short body with the regular cooper body but we opened the rules up to allow any body and I need a new one anyways but have no idea what to get.

Suzuki Swift -Medium wheelbase

a lot of the guys that I run with are running the mwb with the swift body - we have open body rules, but TCS rules for the rest..

there are only 1 guy running the lwb and 1 running the swb

We run on the same kind of track here. I think most guys are running medium or short wheelbases no one runs long, but I think that has more to do with no bodies easily available(or looking good). Body doesn't really matter to the handling of the car. A bunch run Colt truck bodies but most guys are running HPI miata or HPI civic 225mm medium bodies.

Most guys are running M06 on the carpet so body selection is a little different for them as all the bodies won't fit.

Just get what ever body you like and run either wheelbase. Doesn't really change how the car handles when you are going as slow as a mini does, its all about looking good :)

The Tamiya Renault Alpine body fits a short wheelbase M-05 very nicely if you use a set of M03 front body posts on the rear. This works for the medium wb HPI Miata as well.
