Tamiya mini cooper
Could someone please help me rate the following 60D Tamiya Mini tires from most to least grip?
Kit (treaded)
M-Grip (treaded)
S-Grip (treaded)
Type-B (slick)
Type-A (slick)
I'm trying to figure out what sets of Tamiya tires might work best on a parking lot asphalt surface. So far on my M-03 I like Type-A fronts with S-Grip rears. I have a friend running an M-06 and the Kit fronts were wearing quickly and didn't offer enough steering with S-Grip rears.
----------
Has anyone else noticed that the 60D M-Grip tires seem to have a softer side wall compare to the S-Grip?

M-05 S Spec pre order link is up!

If you like to run your bodies low with the top of the tyre hidden up inside the wheel arch it won't be possible unless you cut the body to clear the servo mount.
I had the Alfa Giulia body on an M03M ... to get the body low enough at the front I had to cut out a small square at the base of the windscreen to clear the RH servo mount and get it to fit correctly. Hope that helps.
I finished my M05 pro build and after 2 hours of total run time I notice that my car is losing speed. Everything electrical seems connected properly, my esc is not overheating. If I lift the car up the wheels will spin but the second I set it down it just makes noise but doesnt move.
Needs some help please - is it the diff, do I need to replace tighten and if so do i need to take the whole car apart - arghhh!

What diff did you fit? If you have fitted a ball diff and did not put loctite on the screw, then it may have loosened off. If it is a MO5 ball diff, you can access the screw by removing the bottom hinge pin and tightening. If it is a TAO3 then it is a pull apart job
I would also check the pinion has not moved on the motor shaft.

Thanks for the quick response, I used the diff that came with the M05 Pro kit (ball diff i think) but did not use any loctite - ill check that.
Update - Pulled the motor out and when i first installed the pinion gear i hadnt used the 'pinion stopper', used it moved pinion gear further out and car is happy again.

Hey Granpa, sorry just saw this. We were scheduled to receive some tires this week but had some shipping delays. We should have some by early next week. It would be good to run mini again at WC again. See you at the Tamiya fun race!
