yoke rear bones will work providing the axle is not wore out. i used them cut as i say wear out fast.

Hello guys. I had an earlier version of the YM34 (you may have seen me posting around page 5 or so) but regrettably I sold it after having driven it only once. Now I want another belt drive car and the Type-T was at the top of my list of possibilities, along with the T1R, XXXS G+, and Mission. I have pretty much decided on the Type-T because I want a car that accepts side x side batteries and I really like the quality of the YM34. And I can get a really good deal if I get it on ebay

Is there any way to adjust belt tension? I remember on my old car the belt rubbed on top of the motor. The belt didn't skip or anything so it's not a big deal. I was just wondering.

not without getting creative. you'll have to make your own. my t front belt was so perfect. the rear, which is wider to boot, was way too tight. just an fyi.

nice car! i may keep my 34v3 if i can.

Did you change a lot of parts? Or de-anodize them? I like the silver aluminum way more than purple...Seaball YM34

Does 6.29 sound like a good starting point for an MVP? Or is that too high? Or too low? I have no idea

thanks. i like it raw too. silver that is. yeah, check out some of my posts around that page 14 as i listed some pros and cons of the machine.

it is a type t. i would definitely get an si over the t because the weight appears to be a bit more balanced. if you run gp's you'll find the car to be crazy heavy on that side. even with umh cells (lightest avail) it was 35 g heavier on that side. with gp's it will be 30 - 40 on top of that. as in around 70g of added weight on the electronics side just to balance the car. that's about 2 1/2 ounces!

for a typical us touring track, i would say to roll your mvp out at or around 1.05"/rev. as in ...

1.05 = tire circumference/FDR ...

most rubbers are about 2.45" so that makes a 7.69" circum and you would be rolling out at 7.69/6.29 = 1.22! that's really high, especially for an mvp which tends to run hot. if your track can support high speeds, maybe it will work, but i'd recommend first starting around 1.05 -1.10

My batteries are in fact GP 3300s. They are noticalby heavier just holding them lol.

Also I found some old notes I had taken on my TC3 and found 6.29 was off from what I had found to be ideal. 6.428 is what I'm after. I can get damn close to that with 87/33 (48 pitch) or 125/45 (64 pitch). That sounds more like it right?

Hmmm... I guess Integy will eBay the Si when a newer version comes out

I just dropped a Novak Brushless into my T. I geared it 29/90 so it should be pretty quick. I got Seaball's Atlas stuff so I got to run with a diff up front for the first time last Sunday. I think the new diff loosened a little as I got ass-around a few times. It was just wierd to have that much control. I was used to wishing the car around the track. Ya know, when the car is so loose, it looks like somebody else is driving it. I had taken off both swaybars too. The extra traction is nice but slowing me down I think. Better to drift than grab and drag all the way around a corner.

The Novak SS purple matches the T, hehe. I was surprised when the race director said I could run it in stock class in the limited mode. 24k rpm limit in limited mode. Dunno about you guys but I know I don't get 24k rpm out of my Monster stock motors.

hello all,
i am once again getting my T ready for fall. i have shimmed the lower suspension blocks and senn to get the car what i wanted it to do. i put a .4mm shim under the rear of the suspension block to give the rear 0 deg squat and shimmed the front to give it a 1 deg kick up. i tried the u3 suspension block and the car acted funny. i also tried the 0 deg front block and still acted funny. so kept the stock block at this time. trying to get the different blocks from alex racing(not too sure. its the club enthuse blocks).but at this time my car has plenty of corner speed and has no problems keeping up with yok sd, tc3, and losi. my set up as follows
