Do I really want to get this car???
Well, I started at about page 15, synapse and his car pix, and read from there. Well, I have concluded that there are people on here who like that car, and people who do not like it or are frustraded with it because it breaks to easily or set-ups are to hard to find when testing the car. I have been thinking of getting the Si for a while now, and I am wondering if I should. I would just like for your info on it (the Si) and what problems you have with it. Also, I would like to know what options are necesary or help, and witch are just plain cool, to order from Integy. Seeing that I would order it all at once.

the car definitely does not break easily. I have found it to be one of the most durable sedans out there, and ive raced just about every one. The arms are extremely thick, and the pivot blocks are alum as well as the hubs.
The greatest downfall to me is that it is difficult and time consuming to maintain.
It has a very good center of gravity, and very comprehensive suspension geometry. With mininal setup it can easily be competative with the best from any company.

time how long it takes you to swap the diff.
Then do the same with any other car.

oooohhhh, ok. Well what about like things I should buy with the car. I know I read something about putting shims under the bulkheads or something like that.

I agree that the diffs do take a long time to replace and for this reason I nearly gave up the car and bought a Losi XXX-S!
Anyway, I've decided to stick with the type - T now as although it takes a long time to change a diff it is really only 30 minutes.
Does anyone know the most efficient way to change the diff, ie. the minimum amount of screws to take out. I find myself having to completely dissassemble the front or back end to get access?

Schumacher Mission are also hard to get diffs out on but i have found every thing else on the car to be really easy to maintence

Alright guys, well so the diffs take a long time, Now what about buying the car, because integy has a lot of stuff, even for the Si, what things should I get with it?

The only thing I would really recommend you gget with the car is a full set of the short Atlas springs, white, sky blue & purple, the blue ones that come with the kit are fine as a starting point but the extra tuning possibilites are a good thing.
You dont relly need any hop-up's as the car is pretty much fully loaded. Maybe a diff for the front if you dont like one-ways.
The car can be a pain to work on compared with some others, but the positives, sharp handling, superb durability and top quality materials more than make up for it.
I wouldn't worry too much about spare parts either, the car is so tough you will probably have them in you pit box forever.
Now go and buy one, you wont regret it.

lol, thanks JohnA, the thing about the springs and diff was exactly what i was looking for, now since I am a driver for integy, I get pretty good prices, so there is this Spring Set, http://secure400.automatedshops.com/...09103164429.85 , and looking on integy's site, I cant seem to firgure out which one is the extra Diff, and the extra like arms and castor blocks for replacement and stuff

My cells have seen their last race day. Time for some new ones. But they did good enough to win the A today. I'm glad nobody else I race with likes one-ways, it's an advantage for me.

the car really is tough as nails. i have never broken a part on the car in 70+ runs. the arms are the strongest i've seen. whoop... i did tear up two front cvd's running the one way.
as far as quality goes....it's awesome. precise, strong, and fairly light.
30 minutes to exchange a diff is ridiculous...but yes, that is what it takes for most of us to do it. and i don't know a quick way. if only atlas had slotted the outdrive bearing holders so that the diffs would slide out of the top!
personally, i still don't love the car on the track. it's aggressive, and i can turn some hot laps with it, but it doesn't feel great. i think it can, but i've het to figure out how. on carpet i'm running 3* toe a side to keep the rear from stepping out. double diff with a middle one way. it feels the best i've had it, but my cornerspeed from entry to apex is less than desireable.
as usual, i think the car could rip, but for me, i haven't figured it out yet. i've talked with another sponsored driver that ran it for a while and he's said the same thing. i dunno.
