Well you're right...
--> It's just because my diff housing is not dead so I don't need to replace it.

Let's see the Spec-R price cause it will be my solution...

I am having an issue with the setup of my car. It's the "regular" TA06 with TRF shocks, CVDs, and all of the carbon reinforced pieces for the chassis. I am using the stand-up shock configuration. I am running it in VTA with a 25.5.

When coming out of a corner, I need to wait until the car is straight before getting back on the power or the rear end will swing out. If it's a high speed corner, I can stay on the throttle and it holds fine, it's just when trying the accelerate out of a turn.

Another local guy has a TA06 Pro with lay down shocks and he is having the same issue. He is running his in USGT with a 21.5.

Any suggestions?

Default Considering a TCS Build...

Hello everyone,

I'm considering building up a TA-06 as a TCS GT2 car for both carpet and asphalt events. Other than making sure I get the TA-06 Pro chassis, what addition hop-ups should I be budgeting for?

Carpet set ups for Tamiya are usually like this:
Tamiya whites up front and blues in the rear. Usually 60w up front and 40w rear. You may want 50w in the rear. Long camber links. No toe out in the front and 2 to 3 degrees in the rear. Run CC blocks up front and xa in the rear and go from there. Heavy sway bar up front and light sway bar in rear. Start the shocks in the middle hole and experiment moving them up and down. Ride height is set to 5mm. And droop 6 and 5. Try this and see how it works. Tire prep is very important on carpet. I like spools up front over a different.oneways are fast on carpet also. Hope this gets you in the right direction

i think 3 degrees camber at the rear is too much. try reducing camber to 1.5 at the rear, and dont forget to check the suspensions tweak/ weight balancing.

Might help...
Front:
Blue springs
50wt oil 3-holed pistons
6mm droop
c-c blocks
shock 2nd hole from innermost
Middle swaybar thickness
6mm hexes
long camberlink 4mm spacer

rear:
White springs
50wt oil 3 hole pistons
6mm droop
xa-d blocks
shocks 3rd hole from innermost
thickest sway bar
6mm hexes
3mm spacer on camberlink (inner)
Use inner hole on the bulkhead and shorter hole on the hub

All of the suggestions here are spot on. Personally I would start by increasing the front droop first. I have found that tamiya cars are especially sensitive to droop changes...

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try some of them next week.
I don't have swaybars for it. It looks like maybe I should buy a set.

What? No nuggets of wisdom from anyone?

In this case woulden't you want a stiffer front / softer rear spring?

I think that you should get some of the carbon reinforced pieces.
You will find that with the stock plastic there is quite a bit of flex.

I would also suggest mounting a fan over the motor. They don't get much airflow with this chassis design.
