a big CONGRATS to RobK for his VTA win at the Trackside 2010 US ON-ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS PRESENTED BY NOVAK ELECTRONICS this weekend!

I was able to watch the VTA races on rclive. Rob really laid it down. Good Job!

He keeps threatening to put a VTA car together and join us.

Im thinkin that Ken and barbie are too large of a scale to go in VTA. The Little StarWars action figure stuff is too small so IDK.

Someone get a Ken and Barbie and cut a shell so that its convertible. That would look good on a convertable Camaro or Stang. Raise your center of gravity though.

Need some help from the assembled Losi-Masters.

One of our racers here has a XXX-S that he's been running in our "Club-Spec" VTA which still mandates 4-cell / 27T stock. He wants to "up-rate" it to LiPo / 21.5 for an out of town race we're attending next month. We have pretty much run out of ideas for getting a LiPo wedged in there.

Any suggestions? What LiPo and how. Preference would be to NOT have to build the car around the battery...

Thanks in advance!!

I don't know the Losi nomenclature. It is (effectively) a twin-deck graphite chassis, not a "tubby" (did Losi ever even make a "tubby"?) with the battery fed up from the bottom. Front belt runs up one side, rear belt down the other. Can't shim the rear section of the "spine" up because it sits on top of posts but screws up into the bulkheads front and rear so it's captured between.

I DO know it's not a "Type R".

Thanks.

I've never had to deal with it, but you have a JRX-S.
You'll have to get a complete answer from somewhere else but, it would seem that for many of the lipos your friend will need a dremel.

Are you using one of those Orion or similar shaped packs with the "Nimh" bumps on it, or a 5000 Mah brick?
