Hey Snoop, Im sure we will change it up to a certain degree come the summer...alot will be based on the region as a whole(ATL,AL,Mem,ARK,)..maybe even get some RCGT going since Memphis is pulling that direction as well(sorry TC..lol)...

Im still wondering what events carry the USVTA banner?...the more big events the USVTA are a part of, the easier it is to get everyone on the same page...

if the USVTA NATS is the only one, more ppl will just fix the car for that race( get legal )..if they attend, travel issues....just as myself might not make it to the Novak due to weather and work...

I would like to see a strong USVTA presence at 4-5 National races every year....how many did we have last year..2009...

2009 VTA NATS(Chicago-area) 60+ entries
Novak Race(??????) ???? entries
Clevland US(Clevland) 13 entries
BTH(Memphis) 14 entries
MCC 09(Nashville) 41 entries
Snowbirds(Orlando) 12 entries

if we really want to take this nationally, we need racers to represent the class....and we need the USVTA to back them up...and then we cant be ignored...sqeeky wheel....

Apparently I'm not the only one... Most of us keep our motor wires as short as possible and in a TC thats about 3" long. It'd be a little tough braiding 12-13 gauge wires that are only a few inches long.

Here, maybe a thread with a lot pictures will help to show you that nobody braids wires anymore.

the "braiding" technique that castle recommends only requires a single twist to alleviate the problem and could hardly add any real extra length to a clean and short-wired install

Well, as a side question, I am looking to do a police car setup on my VTA car, and would like to know if the sirens and lights be considered illegal in VTA? not seeing anything specific about that, but wanted to check?

The 2009 Novak had around 45 VTA entries, this year it should have at least that many. The Wis, Ill, Ind Hurricane All Star Series has had at least 25+ VTA cars at each event.

To the best of my knowledge and memory I don't think that there were any "police" cars competing in TransAm throughout the 60s and 70s. So based on the rules, it wouldn't be legal.

This is only my opinion, but it seems extremely narrow minded and damned foolish to have a company like Tekin that is willing to bend over backwards to help this class out be shut down by the power that be. In these economic times we live in, the common sense thing would be to include as many as possible not exclude !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are lucky to have the people we get now to show up and race and some in just this last month have bought a Tekin and now are told in 9 months they can't run it at all even with VTA specific software. I am sorry but I do not have the words to express just how stupid that is ! You are worried about teching the car at a race where you had what 45 entries, wow that would be a real pain if you had to look for a led in what 2 seconds. I go to races with 200 entries (summer points series, not club race) and we don't seem to have a problem teching vehicles there, and if someone was cheating, I'm sure one of the other 44 entries would call them out on it. I don't even run a Tekin in my VTA car and still can't believe how narrow minded this approach is. When a software update is free for the people that own them, forcing them to buy something else is just for lack of a better word senseless. I am sorry , I do not mean to offend anyone, but a little common sense goes a long way sometimes. I don't want to hear you have 9 months blah blah blah. It is still forcing people to pay more money to go slower needlessly if they already have something that works. Brilliant marketing in a recession, force people to spend more. Do you think you are actually going to actract more or less this way? Sorry for the rant.
