Southerfried, you could have too much rear traction and it is just "breaking loose" or that there just any traction period-none! Post you setup and I can decipher it to make a suggestion.

Rear sway bar is off and softer springs really didn't help much.
This is why I am looking at other changes to get the Car better for the conditions that I normally have to race on.

low bite
I'm just finishing mine and think that it might be a bit stiff. I'm going to leave off the swaybars and might ad a bit of antisquat. Does anyone have problems with using the 1.5mm of spacers for the wheels. I would think you might have issues with the hexes on the wheels rounding out after some light board tapping.

I am running on a Med-Bite asphalt track. 125' back straight, with a semi complex inner area. red AE front, and blue AE rear springs
Pops, what type of track are you running on?
I have stock sway-bars F/R, 45 oil, front diff TIGHT, 3mm F/R droop, 5mm F/R R/H, moved the rear link in to clear inner wheel.

The stock springs are gold-19lbs and silver-16.9lbs.
I have only been on low bite one time so I really am not sure what to say other than by raising the rear up to 3mm and the front to 2.5mm spacers helped quite a bit. You could also lower the inside camber link mounts be a few millimeters to help with traction as well.
On the high bite tonight my car was trying to overrotate on tight corners so I changed from the rear 16.9lb springs to 17.5 lb springs and that was all it took to lock the rear end in. Nothing like a 9x1 at full song down a 160ft straight!!

Steve,you cannot get your car down to 4.5-5.0mm with the stock springs??
Yes Associated springs are shorter but you will need to use the Associated lower spring retainers because they are a smaller diameter as well.

I am not trying to make a joke, just trying to help.
Are the spring perches a Pro4 item? Even with the spring adjusters all the way up you still have too much tension if I understand you correct?
I just measured my Associated springs and the purple ones are 24mm but the blue and silver ones are 25mm which is the same as the Losi green and purple ones and the stock HPI springs too. The lighter springs from Losi measure 29mm. Hopefully some of the other guys may have experience with the other brands you named and you will find some shorter springs.
