I just happen to be a smily guy...

I was laughing at my own situation

The perches are not pro 4 specific item. General HPI perches meant to work with all hpi shocks excluding micro, savage and pro 4.

Well, it does work with pro 4 but you can't really lower your cas as one would like.

I am also using one hole inword (closer to the inside of the arms) in all 4 corners which would stand the shock alittle more...

So its a bling, bling issue then.

I do hope you can find some shorter springs. Good luck.

I bought some tamiya 6mm hexes and they work just fine. They may be 2mm wider but they sit in by about .3mm more that the hpi's, which makes them equivalent to to having 1.7mm spacers.

I am currently using Xray dark blue springs(25 lbs) all the way around, but I run the shocks in the outer holes of the towers to get them to work.

If you get really stuck then you'll have to buy the Tobee Craft purple spring perches which are specifically for the Pro 4

Default motor mount

maybe its just me, but could hpi have made it any more difficult to mount the motor?

Try using a 2.5 mm Hudy Wrench that has the ball end. It'll help you to screw/unscrew the motor screws by putting the wrench at an angle....

thanks for the reply.
I do have a set of long hex's with the ball end and they definately do help, I guess I just got spoiled with the tc3 motor mount.
I'm sure once I get used to it, it will be no big deal, but at first it is a pain.

Very high quality Jet Racing 4 degree C Hub. Very thick and weight is good. I don't think its heavy at all.

What are the square parts on the bottom?

Also,
Do you know any mfg that makes short springs?

They are Titanium Ball Studs and Telfon Piston.

Short spring, don't know.

I bought my pro 4 second hand and the guy that owned it before me chopped the ends off to open up the motor mounts so you can just slide the motor on with the screws attatched. Doesn't look real slick but it works.
