The weirdest thing is: I'm getting the SAME kind of lookie loos over my shoulder when i'm in the pits....I'm not the best driver in the world, but i've been able to keep up the same kind of pace that I had with my TC3 and XXX-S. Go figure....

I'm still the only one who races at my track with a Pro 4. Well, Proteus did race there, but he left for Japan and forgot to ask me what parts I needed....

j/k Proteus....

@ Gary: Let me know if you get my PM ok...

Any quick suggestions for the rear diff nut loosening other than the obvious like a new nut or threadlock? I tightened it down twice and it still will not stay tight. Is there an aluminum nut that will fit in this application like the Losi used or the newer one piece nut that is being used?

Does anybody know if there are steel outdrives in production? They worked great in the Losi and make strong spools.

Haven't seen any steel outdrives yet.... the Pro2 diff halfs seem to be the right size...but I'm unable to get hold of a set to confirm that.....

Doug- I know that Steve at Speedtech is in the final stages of producing a steel spool for the Yokomo SD. He had them designed and is going to produce them. I bet if there were enough interest maybe he could be interested in doing one for the HPI car.

Guys Doug's car was sweet on sunday. If I did not have my CGM I would look at getting one.

Default Setup Question

I am finishing the setup on my Pro4 and I am having a problem getting the ride hight the same on the left and right sides in the front. The rear seems to be OK. I have even disconnected the sway bars and removed the top deck. This helped, but I am still having difficulty getting the ride hight the same.

I have not balanced the car yet. Could this be an issue?

Thanks is advance.

Well, I have to say that I am pretty impressed with the Pro4. I battle tested it this weekend unintentionally hitting every PVC elbow on the track and suprisingly made it through the whole day racing 19T and Stock classes with only a bent CVD bone to show for it. On top of that, I TQ'd and won the Stock class. The car is very smooth...almost to the point of looking slow. Very happy with the car.

On another note, what is a good starting point for gearing with a Reedy Quad Mag 19T. I think my motor is just a dog because I tried everything from 39-35 and had no speed on the straight.

I know when I run 19T I normally gear up 2 to 3mm more of rollout to get them motors running strong. I would think that is like 2 to 4 teeth higher than you run a stock motor at.

you don't want GPM parts...they may be cheaper but the alloy they used is softer compared the Square RC parts.
