Default Futaba CDR 5000

I thought thiat Charger would charge 3 packs at once. Do you have to have the 40 amp power supply to discharge?

Don't know where else to put this but I have the turbo 35 BL and it seems the *&%%^^^%^& 20 AMP fuse keeps blowing out when I run the discharge or cycle mode Any one else have this problem?

I don't get some of the new chargers coming out. They either have 10-20 amp discharge or no motor run. Haven't they learned from Competition Electronics that we need 30-35 amp discharge, motor run and a great charge.

Nova,

Prob have to send it back to CE. It shouldn't be doing that. There repairs are very reasonable and fairly quick.

Called and got some one who actually hlped.. What great customer service!!!!!

Looking at an old manual it seems there should be 2 yes 2 20 AMP fuses in the holders in the base .... I looked and there was a 20 and a 15 now.... Guess what I'm swapping out when I get home After talking with him for 10 minutes I know more about this puppy then I did expected!!!

BTW the 2 fuses act in parallel so I bet after a closer look the 15 amp is blown and I have been running on the 20 amp all along...
And he mention that the latest release is 5.7... Cost $25.00...

I just got a new Great Plains charger that does Ni-CD, Ni-MH, Lead Acid, and Lithium Ion. It charges at up to 5A and cycles up to 10 times in a row. Just set it and leave it works great.

Just like on the Comm lathe forum. We can't look back... What is availible now. Not yesterday. Orion? C.E.? Futaba?

Have we crossed the line between cutting edge and just tweaking?
